When folks from Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University tell you that the Magic City Classic, held annually at Legion Field in Birmingham, is more than just a football game, they mean it.
Think I’m kidding?
Both institutions have gone viral with some well-produced videos that throw some pretty creative shade at each other.
Alabama State produced a music video entitled, “You Ain’t Got It!” that positively profiles ASU’s history, its accomplishments, and offerings, all while implying that its rival Alabama A&M, “ain’t got it.”
Alabama A&M produced a movie trailer entitled “Hornet Busters” that is a parody of the 1984 movie “Ghostbusters.”
The Magic City Classic featuring Alabama A&M (4-3, 1-1 SWAC) and Alabama State (3-3, 2-1 SWAC) is set for Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
