The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced its football players of the week for games played November 6.
Offensive Player of the Week
Josh Boudreaux – QB, Arkansas-Pine Bluff (6-4, 240, Sr., New Iberia, La.) Bourdeaux accounted for 7 touchdowns in the Golden Lions’ 49-20 homecoming victory over Mississippi Valley State. He threw for 329 yards and rushed for another 51 in completing 5 touchdown passes and running for 2.
- Devon Dominguez (QB, ALST) – Threw for 4 TDs and 223 yards of 13 of 23 attempts
- Tony Green (RB, AAMU) – Rushed for career high 156 yards and 2 TDs
- Arvell Nelson (QB, TXSO) – Threw for 225 yards and 3 TDs
Defensive Player of the Week
Dejuan Fulghum – LB, Texas Southern (6-1, 220, Sr., Killeen, Texas) Fulghum recorded 12 total tackles (8 solo), 1.0 sacks (8 yards), 1.0 tackles-for-loss (8 yards), and a forced fumble in the Tigers’ 54-7 victory at Southern. The Texas Southern defense held the Jaguars to just 134 total yards in the win.
- Derrick Timber (LB, UAPB) – Totaled 11 tackles 2.5 TFL and an interception
- Malcolm Taylor (DL, ALCN) – Compiled 8 total tackles (5 solo) and 2.0 sacks (8 yards)
- Frank Kearse (DL, AAMU) – Finished with 9 total tackles (6 solo) and 1.0 TFL
- Todd Wilcher (LB, JKST) – Recorded 12 total tackles
Special Teams Player of the Week
William Osborne – KR, Texas Southern (5-8, 162, Sr., Marshall, Texas) Osborne accounted for 134 all-purpose yards with 4 punt returns for 55 yards, 2 kickoff returns for 48 yards, and a 31-yard touchdown reception in the Tigers’ 54-7 victory at Southern.
- Chance Wilson (P/K, AAMU) – Matched a career long 52-yard punt and remained perfect on the season in PATs
Newcomer of the Week
Brandon Bridge – QB, Alcorn State (6-5, 195, Fr., Mississauga, Ontario) Bridge threw for 4 touchdowns and ran for another as the Braves won, 41-24, at Alabama A&M. He completed 9 of 14 passes for 175 yards without an interception and rushed for .

- Kirk Fitzhugh (TE, TXSO) – Caught 1 pass for 95 yards and a TD
