Nothing they already signed their deal with ABC and ESPNBIg 10 just signed a 7 BILLION dollar media deal even without ESPN. Now, let's see what the SEC does.
Does not matter if they decide to add more teams. ESPN will gladly renegotiate if teams they want join.

LOL Not at all. It would be great for JSU and our football mission. We could use that money to give the people what they want.Click bait
SDSU is gambling. The school still doesn't have an offer from the Pac 12 or the Big 12 but must give the Moutain West conference notice by June 30 to avoid paying $34 million in exit fees instead of $17 million.
Having to pay $17 million to leave the conference instead of paying $34 million is the backup plan. They wouldn't be leaving if they didn't know they have a backup plan already.
Right, which is why I indicated in an earlier post that SDSU is gambling. The fact that SDSU would ask for an extension makes it clear that a conference has not made an offer to the school to join yet.Still wouldn't make sense if there was no indicator that the Pac or Big 12 will take them.
SDSU is in big trouble, I hope they 17 million laying around, the Mountain West is not playing.
So, why ask for an extension if they already know an invite is waiting? They're not gambling because they already know they have an invite waiting.
Exactly! This (again) goes back to my earlier post indicating that SDSU is gambling. There has been NO official invitation from the Pac 12. SDSU can tell the MWC that it is leaving the conference NOW (before June 30) and pay a $17 million exit fee or pay $34 million after the deadline.Because the Pac 12 has not finalized their media deal yet. It's pretty much a given at this point.

If it is a done deal, as you've indicated, that SDSU is going to join the Pac-12, wouldn't it make sense to tell the conference now that it is leaving now?
I have no idea. I'm guessing the solution is written somewhere in the conference's by-laws. But whatever it is, I'm guessing there would still be some penalty to pay.Do they have any recourse to say they are leaving but then decide to not leave if it don't turn out the way they want it to?
