We already knew new Alabama State head coach Brian Jenkins had plucked offensive coordinator Mark Orlando away from Texas Southern in a surprising move last month.
A report has surfaced that Jenkins is rounding out his assistants, including bringing over Allen Suber from Bethune-Cookman to assume duties as assistant head coach and Kevin Ramsey was named defensive coordinator.
Orlando resigned as offensive coordinator at Texas Southern on Dec. 19 to join Jenkins’ staff.
Per source, Brian Jenkins’ staff is coming together. So far, we hear the staff is: Mark Orlando – offensive coordinator (from Texas Southern), Prince Pearson – offensive line (Prairie View), James Joseph – running backs (Samford), Allen Suber – receivers / assistant head coach (Bethune-Cookman), Donald Hill Ely – tight ends (Morgan State), Kevin Ramsey – defensive coordinator (Alabama State) and DeMarco McNeil – defensive line (Alabama State).
Jenkins was hired by Alabama State on Dec. 16.
