NCAA Hirings, Firings And Retirings 2024-2025 Part 2

According to multiple reports, The University of Texas has hired Mark Orphey as its new safeties coach, bringing a seasoned defensive mind with deep ties to HBCU football. Orphey, a former standout at Texas Southern University, has built an impressive coaching career that now lands him in the heart of SEC country under head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Good hire! Now 662 or anyone with updates? How did we end up hiring a DEPUTY A.D. before hiring a VACANT New Athletic DIRECTOR because IVORY can't be the next full-time A.D....

I just don't be on here typing for fun when I say Valley won't move forward with Briggs as president especially with all the 💩 he's done behind the scenes that isn't common knowledge (rejecting a $3 million donation to athletics, worker being electrocuted while working a soccer match, etc) as well as the stuff that hasn't come out yet (but will soon hopefully). People outside of Valley know something isn't right at Valley but don't know what exactly is going on but they know something is going on (someone from AAMU knew about the electrocution before I even mentioned it)

Wade spoke in code during the weekly SWAC presser about what happened. He got a meeting with Briggs and was fired immediately afterwards. The reason WHY he was fired is because he refused to give up scholarships from the graduating seniors to the band. By the way, Bonds is also the de facto Admissions director and a liason to the president which is why we haven't had a permanent one since May when the one who grew Valley by 17% resigned. Hakim resigned for the same reason as far as micromanagement with funds HE RAISED for Athletics. Ivory is a useful tool which is why Briggs made him interim. Ivory isn't gonna rock the boat but it's coming at the expense of the overall athletics department

According to Buckley, our new DC is now the new HC at Central State

The new DC that could replace him is a familiar face at Valley

Jai Lucas son of John Lucas and brother to John Jr, is the new coach of the Miami Hurricanes basketball team at age 36.

MSN had to delete comments in the article comment section that call him all sorts of DEI hire.

Utah Utes hires Alex Jenson from Dallas Mavericks. Who aside from the G-League Canton Charge team was never a head coach in college. Comment section is not calling him a DEI hire. Despite Jai Lucas coming from a family of coaches and coached at top schools Texas, Kentucky and DUKE.
