Hopson to USM


Dude I'm only trying to help you in your ignorance, I said IT DOESN'T matter what color the coach is, as long as he can dial up some good ass X's and O's as well as motivate the players, he's all good in my book. It's closed minded coloreds like yourself that only see color instead of productivity. Ask yourself a few simple questions...Did a coach win at Alcorn recently? Did it matter his color? Do you believe his color helped? Did the shade of his color give Alcorn any special treatment during these last few years? And I'm not upset at all I know he came, we won and he moved on to greener pastures. Now its up to the AD to keep the ball rolling.
 
You endorsed DCGs ignorance about wanting a white coach. On that other thread you said a white coach worked for Alcorn last time so why not try again. Just admit you're stuck in a slave mindset and move on.

I don't think he is in the mindset, I really believe he misunderstood her post. That "demanded a white coach" comment was crazy.

Dude, sorry OMJ beat you in Lorman and should've won last year. Even one of our worst coaches beat Alcorn and had them on the ropes in the second game.
Now you'll go back to being perennial doormats or next to last in the East now that Hopson's gone. I'll give it 2-3 years.

I got your ignorance in an ass whooping...I gave you part of my conversation to my AD not the whole context of the conversation in which we both concluded that you stuck minded folks would never go for hiring someone other than a black man as FB head coach in our programs even though there are other race of coaches out there who can out coach them willing to come, the conversation was more about why wouldn't we seriously reach out to coaches of other race and I said I would not have a problem with in the least...Now let me ask you the last if ever you have been able to go to your AD in a one on one without an appointment and give your thoughts on the next coach, ummm yeah, get ignorant like me!

Ok I gotta question isn't Mike still there at TXSo as you guys Asst. AD and he is WHITE? I've talked to him on numerous occasions great guy with alot of connections. He was suppose to be our AD but it was BS behind that by I say that because I'm 100 percent sure he knows coaches white and black you don't think him and Charles have had conversations about candidates? I know he said if he got the JSU gig he had candidates in mind...

I can imagine Charles sitting there in amazement :confused:at your concerns about other races (whites) being football coaches for TXSo. With all the racial injustice going on I celebrate black coaches because its not easy for them..Not to say I have a problem with white coaches because I dont at all but I understand the black man struggle out here..I like seeing black kids being lead by black leadership..like i said it aint easy out here.

Also having conversations with the AD isn't anything to brag about even the village idiot can speak to the AD at the grocery store or barber shop. They aren't hard to get in contact with at SWAC level programs sometimes its as simple as sending an email. i spoken to over half the conference ADs as well as others in here...

And Alcorn didnt even want Hopson as head coach. Alumni acted a plume fool when Brown named him as the coach. Now they are innovators for something they didn't even start..:rolleyes:

And just keep it real DCG you gotta thang for white coaches you've had a crush on him since he was named the HC at Alcorn...

Exactly. We'll give up the kitchen sink to another group without thinking twice, while other groups (races), including White folks, wouldn't dare do what some of us are talking about doing.
What percentage of Black coaches are in the NCAA? We want to invite them into our homes, but they don't want to do the same for us. Why should we always be the ones to capitulate and end up in the long run being shut out of what USED to be our own? That's stupid and dumb.

If they don't want to accommodate by hiring us as head coaches in their programs, we shouldn't hire them in our programs. It's as simple as that.

When White folks persecute Black folks, you'll in turn just be another Black woman who'll be persecuted right along with the other Black folks.
If you haven't learned this by now, then you haven't studied world history.
As far as White coaches being hired in the SWAC are concerned, if the White schools begin to hire Black coaches in grand fashion, I wouldn't mind doing so in return, but NOT until then. There are too many qualified Black coaches who need to be given a chance who are in need of jobs too.

What a lot of y'all is missing out on is big time college football is run by its boosters. Contrary to what an AD says or the school president says, if you don't have the right coach to work those big money boosters well ur assed out of a job. Now how many black coaches can really go and get that big money from those big school boosters? And you know what color they are.
I would love to see a black coach excel at that level, but if you can't play the dog and pony show with them, it doesn't matter how good you can be on the field.

Umm like when my own black folks persecute me and other black folks, ummm let me think which would hurt most, man get on with that bull at least I expect it from the whites folks but as I have grown I now know it will come from the black folks first...Rolling My Eyes...Now lets talk about the gleefulness you JSU people have that Hopson is gone!

And you don't think subliminal racism plays a role in who folks give their money to, especially the folks down South, in the SEC? Really?

On an INDIVIDUAL level, that's understandable and to be expected, however on a macro or national level, you'll be running back to Black folks when it's all said and done just like OJ, Michael Jackson and many others who thought the White folks loved them.

And nobody from JSU cared about that man leaving, we're just discussing it because it's current news. We had no problems competing with his teams any how.

You are right about that. However, he did but out about 99 excuses on why the sucked this year. I think he has to have a 10 win season this year to erase what happened.
