Texas Southern entered the SWAC Tournament on a three-game losing streak and didn’t look anything like the team that made a consistent habit of turning it on in March.
Davon Barnes had 19 points in eighth-seeded Texas Southern’s 66-62 victory against top-seeded Alcorn State and conference regular season champion on Wednesday night.
