There were a host of coaching changes before the 2014 season that created tremendous competitive balance within the conference.
In the offseason, only two head coaches — Reggie Barlow at Alabama State and Heishma Northern at Prairie View — were replaced.
There figures to be stability this season, although a few coaches will be under fire as the year progresses.
The SWAC head football coaches are ranked (in no particular order) based on job security heading into the 2015 season:

Brian Jenkins – Alabama State
Jay Hopson — Alcorn State
Willie Simmons – Prairie View
Monte Coleman – Arkansas Pine-Bluff
James Spady – Alabama A&M
Darrell Asberry – Texas Southern
Dawson Odums – Southern
Broderick Fobbs – Grambling State
