Your example is unrealistic. We would have more than 11 or 6 points. Of course schools not accustomed to winning and who rarely go to the SCG would think the SWAC is better when they finally get to play in the championship. You have two different prospectives here. One side: the ones who are accustomed to winning and the other side: the ones that win once every 40 years so everyone is going to have different views. lmao
 
In my opinion, the SWAC will get better when the individual programs get better. You have to look at your own program first to determine whether or not the trajectory has improved in terms of funding, competition, facilities,etc or has it declined? The "SWAC" isn't the reason why some programs feel the best years may be behind them. There are other factors that are at play.

Besides your usual dribble, I saw a good talking point. To TSU's credit.. they didnt have Nelson... Kinda like when we played them and didn't have Black..

That's sports, you have injuries, and ineligible players due to grades and finances, well not right before SCG but it comes with the territory.

You had a running back, TXSU didn't even have to throw the ball if they didn't want to. It's not like Bama State's defense is just heads and shoulders. So quit with the excuses.

Trust, even if we were in the Championship, my answer would be the exact same. From the Commissioner, down to the refs, down to the coaches, down to the players. We're playing like we're bush league. Just toss the ball out there and say go at it!

You have a lot of SWAC "ppl," can't call them fans because MOST real fans are knowledgeable of the game they view and these dummies around these parts aren't too intelligent, who are just straight up coons w/ their thought process. Yes, I'm talking directly to you. :D

They don't understand the game beyond the game, IMO. For instance, they'd rather see a high-scoring 48-42 football game w/ zero defense lol vs a slugfest defensive battle coupled w/ field position battles and coaching decisions that will ultimately dictate the outcome of the game. Or, even in basketball, they'd get up out of their seat and swear it was the second coming of Jesus for a THUNDEROUS dunk by their squad while their squad shoots 27% from the charity stripe :lol: and 11% from 3-point land :emlaugh: in a losing effort. Just a bunch of dumb coons, IMO. And yes, I'm speaking directly to YOU, dummy(plural because there are plenty outside of the great state of Texas :wavey: lol). :D

And if you look at majority of our teams play, we make missed tackles look like an art. The only team that I've seen that tackles well is TSU. Other teams try using that "NFL" shoulder bump that is totally ridiculous. We play like crap.

I want someone to honestly say that the SWAC is more talented and producing better teams in 2010 than it was in the 80's or 90's. Someone please name the last complete team that the SWAC has produced. The only team I have seen close to being complete in the past decade is the 2003 Southern squad.

They were pretty good too. I mean, JSU's 2007 squad was decent but far from complete. That team would have got ran off the field by our 99 squad that didn't even win the SWAC. ASU has a decent squad when Tjack was there also. AAMU had some killer defenses but their Offenses were horrible. The talent level just isn't the same. You can blame it on youtube or whatever you want. There was a significant drop off in talent from 2000 on forward

I said decent, pretty decent squad. Eugene was a good player. He wasn't the most talented but he was super smart. He could outsmart these SWAC DC's by himself a lot of time. Let's not forget he always had super wideouts.

Txso squad was decent when at full strength and that defensive line was a beast. PVU produced a decent squad last year. I am not saying that we don't produce decent teams anymore. I am saying that we don't produce dominating squads like we used to. I think it can happen.

PVU and Txso should have no problem recruiting kids to come to Houston. Seriously. JSU will still get ours, trust and believe. So will Gram.

True, and I was just making sure you didnt pat em on the back too hard. Yea I was a fan of Eugene. If dude woulda took it a little more serious... and was an inch or two taller... man.
