Fa shizzle. All we heard in HS was Catholic was the best team in B.R. We knew if they step foot in 7-AAAA, they wasn't gonna beat us.

We shoula played them my Jr year in HS when we went undefeated in district, but Baker played them in 91(2 yrs after I left), when they had Warrick and Kevin, and THE POWERHOUSE still beat them in Memorial.

I haven't been to Jonesville in a while... had some good college (GSU) friends from there in the 70's . Come to find out the Watson's came to Sicily Island from around the Black River area. Ray Curry and dem Holly's are my kinfolk!

Lol she was my teacher, but I know the Curry's and the Holly's.

Too bad our POWERHOUSE is having an outage right now. When I was there our big rival was Glen Oaks(even though we dominated the series). The only team that could stop us was John Curtis.

So you was @ Baker with my cuz, Ivan. When I went to Baker, finished in 91, Baker ran Baton Rouge in athletics.

Man...I was at the dome in 2001 to see Baker march through that tunnel. I am still wondering why Howell didn't put James Allen in the 'gun. Chris Crawford had the speed to outrun Curtis. All he had to do was spread the field and run the spread offense. Basically ....ORLANDO's offense. :lol:

I was there also. Yea Baker could have beat Curtis. You know SU didnt offer Chris Crawford smh. He went to Nicholls, a school that didnt pass, and was a ALL American Punt returner. Just imagine James Vernon and Chris Crawford as SU's wr. Chris could run like JV. They were damn near the same player.

Yeah, that is my cousin. Basketball and baseball kind of fell off when I got there, but the football team and the band was still going strong.

If our team wouldn't turned the ball over so much, we definitely would have won. I think the QB threw like 5 ints and fumbled 4 times. He was a turnover factory. We didn't even get to play the fight song.
