Lets go Purple Knights!

The boys from Port Sulphur (South Plaquemines) will beat every team by at least 3TDs as they roll to another state title.

Didn't Haynesville use their ground game to beat them last year? Dem North La lower classification teams still run it to death. Block High (Jonesville-Catahoula Parish) was really kicking butt until the injury bug got them. They'd win it all if the kids from SI played down there, but we're trying to get our own program back... we have junior high football after almost 10 year absence and those kids are kicking butt!

Yup, they surely did. Haynesville, Oak Grove those North La boys are historical powers. SP was young last year, they win this year.

Rep that D'ville - back-a-town bootin' up here, but my squad Ascension Catholic has not been on the scene since the early 90s.

Yeah but yall had Melvin Williams (who went to SU) and this other kid that SU tried to recruit based on Academics and complexion who were pretty good players. I was shocked when I saw Melvin sign with SU because his father was at the playoff game (against my alma mater) wearing a Grambling Sweatshirt! At least we got the smart kid!!!!!

Road Dizzle...I think St Aug got this one. Channel 2 and 9 loves Catholic High. (guess I might feel a little different about CHS in a couple of years) :emlaugh:

Yall need to bounce them fools out the playoffs.

East Felieciana (formerly Clinton) is undefeated, they got some players there.

East Feliciana (Clinton + Jackson) has enough talent to beat John Curtis. So does D'ville. However, they've gotta play flawless ball (no turnovers) if they wanna beat Curtis, cuz JC don't beat themselves.
Don't sleep of Sterlington, that's one of the smaller Ouachita Parish schools and they keep talent there.

Looking at the top half of the 2A bracket...whoever makes it to the dome from there deserves to win. Curtis, EF, D'ville and Calvary Baptist...sheesh!
That potential Capitol vs. Evangel second round game could be hella interesting though.

Let's GEAUX Eunice!!!!

One of the strongest 5-5 teams in the Class.
They had a Tough Non-District run....

That is our plan.

Melvin's older sister is a Gramblinite. I think Melvin is still atop SU all time leading rusher list, and one of their few SWAC POY. Ascension Catholic also has the state's all time leading rusher in Germaine "Juice" Williams. Man, if he had gone to Gram (instead of LSU) with Jake Reed and that squad, it would not have been fair.

Talent in the lower classifications really separates Louisiana from other states. 1A and 2A is just as talented as 4A and 5A.

Donaldsonville!!!

hell no. East Feliciana, ask around, they the truth. They have maybe the best athlete in the state and he is in the 10th grade. Straight beast. Go online and look @ some of the highlights from Sportsline or ch 2 little high school show :) .

Dville has flaws. They are very very very small on the o and d lines. They got pushed around up front by Episcopal and Dunham.

I remember a couple of years back 1A Champ Port Sulpher beat Destrahan 5A Champion, when they had Jordan Jefferson. Hell this season distrtict 7 2A 4th place Capital beat 5A district champs Central  . The lower classes in Louisiana always has that heat and I think 2A is the hardest class with John Curtis and Evangel. They use to run 5A and 4A until they stop letting teams play up in class.
