May & Ballard ....will both play this season because of physical play in the SWAC...Lui-yen needs to be ready too

I expect us to redshirt PJ Garrett...hope we don't have to burn it though but if we have to..oh well

I agree, May and Ballard will both play and we will need both of them. However, I expect Ballard to be the starter in week 1. Yes, Lui-yen need to be ready to go because you never know when your number will be called!

If Garrett does well in camp, I wouldn't be surprised if Lui-Yuen switches positions or transfers.

Wells is now a receiver. I don't know if Lui-Yuen has the speed or hands to switch to receiver. If Garrett does well enough to be the starter or N0. 1 backup, and Lui-Yen is the odd man out, he may decide to transfer. Coach Spady is clear that if Garrett wins one of those spots, he will play unless he wants to be redshirted.

I bet QB depth ends up like this:

QB1: Ballard
QB2: May
QB3: Garrett (possible redshirt)
QB4: Hinds (He surprised some people in the spring)
QB5: Liu-Yuen (if he doesn't switch)

I am not on the hill, but based on the flim I saw:

May
Ballard
L-Yuen (will transfer)
Garrett (will get redshirt)
Hinds (will wait)

I haven't heard or read anything about him. I'm sure he will get a chance to show his skills too. If he does well and earn the starting, backup or third slot, it will be a pleasant surprise. Good luck to all the ones shooting for a spot.

Keep you eye on WR too

Lol. I keep my eyes on every HBCU signee in my range and insider recruiting reports.

I say that to let you know that I already know where you are going with this. Yes, that 6'4 kid is going to be a MF'r for the SWAC to deal with. Ballard and May are going to have fun with him.

Under Spady, look for A&M to land some solid kids from Military Prep Schools and Mississippi JUCO kids from. Co-Lin, Pearl River, MDCC and Holmes. Next season, you might see some California JUCO lineman.

TP said talent doesn't come to A&M..what are you talking about?

Spady will challenge for all FCS schools for Mississippi JUCO recruits.

I have never seen any there. You might get one or two every blue moon but nothing of any concern. In fact, I don't know if JSU went after him or not but I was VERY impressed with the LB you all got from Co-Lin (Ducksworth). I expect him to be a beast in the SWAC. Basebone has never heard of him because basebone only goes by recruiting manuals and does not judge his own talent.

Recruiting manuals, highlight reels, clips sent to me from other recruiters who I am affiliated with, and with my own eyes from traveling around the river parishes and the Gulf Coast. You keep ignoring my All-SWAC predictions that have come to past as well.

I don't know everything bruh, but I know what I know. AAMU's May was a RGIII styled player in high school and made plays. He could be a bust, but I think he can play.

Ducksworth will play DL, which was his position in JUCO. I'd like to see him at DE opposite Anthony Lanier (SWAC DPOY candidate), but Ducksworth can play any position along the DL. This will probably be the best DL in the SWAC this year, and the best AAMU's had since Coop was on The Hill.

I'm gonna ignore that other crap you posted before that.

Oh, and yeah you went after him. LOL

Again, I didn't investigate if we went after him or not BUT I can say that when I saw his highlight film I got pissed... LOL Maybe he knew JSU was stacked at LB and wanted to go where he could get into an easy rotation. I could have sworn he was a LB but if he is a DE, no way he starts at JSU with Javancy Jones and Ted Terrell there. However, you won't come close to having the best D-line in the SWAC this year. JSU got that on lock.... by a country mile.

This is the one thing you are missing tho. AAMU simply can't get enough talent to compete by running that offense. Look at UAPB. They had Ben Anderson who was a GREAT QB but he couldn't help that team. JSU gave them the SWAC title in 2012 and on top of that, they cheated for the win with all of those ineligible players. AAMU does not cheat. So they will just have to deal with the sorry players they get. What decent WR is going to AAMU? You also need good line play, etc... AAMU ain't made for that.

TP, I know you just hate AAMU more than anything in the world, and it pains you to admit we've got talent, and get talented players every year. Do I need to remind you of the stable? LOL. We added to the stable this year too. ;) Don't get me started on the OL. We'll show you how good they are by the rushing yards we put up, and sacks we give up.

Went to the 1st practice this morning. 4 QB's on the roster and 1 walk-on. 6'5" with a cannon for an arm. 19 wideouts. The O-line returns all 5 starters with 6 backups. The running backs will be a 4-head monster.[/QUOTE]

Wow you could run 5 wide every play LOL

That is scary ^^^^^^^^^^^. Man, Alcorn will not be short of offense.

What are you all returning defensively, FRENCHIE?

Dude, you are in the SWAC and at the end of the day, i wish you the best. It will take ALL of us to get the conference where it needs to be. JSU can't do it alone. However, at the end of the day, you are STILL AAMU and nobody wants to play there.

You know your new OC don't throw the ball, right? LOL

You all don't know as much about stuff as TP does. How long has Kaiss been around and you don't know the type of offense he runs? Actually, you need to be looking at the run package. Kaiss was a beast at TNState and at Hampton when he had 2-3 good RBs. He should have 2-3 good RBs plus your QB is a glorified running back because we all know he can't hit the side of a barn, especially under pressure.

4 of the top 5 tacklers are gone. 3 starters going into last fall were hurt and missed the whole season; so they be back in the lineup. A DB, lineman and LB. A freshman DL from Florida will probably start; his 1st step is awesome

Sorry you missed the meeting when the hiring of Kaiss was discussed. Hopson was adamant that the offense would not change, Kaiss would add some of his flavor to the Koolaid. Talking to some of the players, this has been proven to be true. As a matter of fact he is implementing new facets to the passing game

Frenchie... you can't make someone run another man's offense. For one, how Kaiss know what Simmons would call? LOL You know that's dumb right. Why hire an OC who does not know the system if you are adamant about running it? You all should have found people who know how to run that offense or just made McNair the OC since he has been in the system 3 years.

..and if he is implementing anything other than a dump off pass, ya'll gonna be in trouble. LOL
