Dude, you are in the SWAC and at the end of the day, i wish you the best. It will take ALL of us to get the conference where it needs to be. JSU can't do it alone. However, at the end of the day, you are STILL AAMU and nobody wants to play there.

no one wants to play for Harold Jackson TP....lol seriously

players said if they had a choice between Spady and Jackson they rather play for Spady

just like last year wasn't a down year for jsu this year won't be either,,,,JSU has good chance of losing their first 6 games! TP you won't be able to use these ****** on tspn! Kenn should take away that key on your keypad...

Dude, we got the players we wanted... we really didn't need anything but linemen. We were stacked everywhere else. Our defense just had guys playing out of position. We put them back in their right positions and we won the last two games. We ended the season on a good note.. .. u ended it by taking 3 straight Ls..

Also, any year when JSU does not have a winning season is a down year. We went 40 years with only ONE losing record before ****. THATs a fact. Your smalltime loser school would never understand. ..and when OMJ whoops Spady, you won't have anything to say.

Also, you say we gonna lose our first six games (remember those Predict JSU record threads that were never right?), you WILL lose your first 7. The only win in that group MIGHT be PV.

After watching more footage, I am putting my money on Ballard in the AAMU QB battle. That dude can pull rabbits out of hats. He knows how to pound the ground or make quick passes under fire. From what I saw of AAMU last year, he might what they need this season.

This is the one thing you are missing tho. AAMU simply can't get enough talent to compete by running that offense. Look at UAPB. They had Ben Anderson who was a GREAT QB but he couldn't help that team. JSU gave them the SWAC title in 2012 and on top of that, they cheated for the win with all of those ineligible players. AAMU does not cheat. So they will just have to deal with the sorry players they get. What decent WR is going to AAMU? You also need good line play, etc... AAMU ain't made for that.

Interesting, but they do compete. I think Spady can rack up some help.

You know your new OC don't throw the ball, right? LOL

You all don't know as much about stuff as TP does. How long has Kaiss been around and you don't know the type of offense he runs? Actually, you need to be looking at the run package. Kaiss was a beast at TNState and at Hampton when he had 2-3 good RBs. He should have 2-3 good RBs plus your QB is a glorified running back because we all know he can't hit the side of a barn, especially under pressure.

This is good news for Alcorn then, cause we are a running team with a boat load of backs

4 of the top 5 tacklers are gone. 3 starters going into last fall were hurt and missed the whole season; so they be back in the lineup. A DB, lineman and LB. A freshman DL from Florida will probably start; his 1st step is awesome

I believe I know who you are talking about, he looks special on film

What is the walk on qb name, if you don't want to post it, come to the War Party

Is that why they had that 99 yd pass play on JSU? Y'all gave them that?

This looks ACCURATE to me.

Cool. I am calling the AAMU QB battle the most intense position battle the SWAC has seen in a while. I think so because both kids showed that they are capable of running the pistol and making plays.

Ballard rushed for 753 yards at Southwest and has that extra confidence boost because of his collegiate experience. I watched his highlights at SMCC and he seems to have "great" field awareness. That kid can run on on side of the field under heat and still find an open slot reciver who broke his route to get open.
He doesn't throw a pretty ball, but it does have some zip on it. He is a strong and has a true division I QB frame.

I know I picked May to win the battle, but I won't be shocked if Spady went with Ballard. Spady is the type of coach who believes in the defense setting the offense up to score. I haven't seen May aside froma spring game clip, but he doesn't need to hit the weight room.

Who will win the Bulldog QB battle?
Jordan Lynch (Ballard)
RGIII (May)
Tim Tebow (Lui-Yuen)

The first scrimmage is in... It is Ballard... May has missed some practices due to injury...Spady says he is now looking for a back-up.

Ivy is just not what's happening. Guy is still telegraphing his WR and does not execute his play fake well. As a result of him telegraphing he had several INT today. The Hawaiian QB honesty has a much better everything than Ivy. He will be a beast once he learn the offense . It's almost sad that even the new QB Williams looked better than Ivy. He wants to be a big pocket passes but technique wise he hasn't improved at all. He also holding the ball to long allowing his WR to get out of route and yea the defense bring heat but sometimes without the pressure he's still holding on to ball a little bit to long. I'm not sure what really happened to Ivy after his injury. But hey praise God we have some quality backups.

Yep, I figured Ballard would win the qb battle, even with a healthy May. However, I'm glad May will be cleared this week to participate. May will get playing time and be the back up, but has been limited in reps due to injury. I'm glad we have 4 good QB's!

The Defense returns 7 Starters from last year, There won't be a battle, We will be filling in holes!

The WR Corps are solid but their positions are open except for #81 and (Fosselman) ? We are waiting of FHill grad ( J Mabry) R Shumake to see if they can catch the ball!

The QB position is not open but I dont think Ivy will be starting the 1st game. ( C Jackson is going to be very cautious ) I think we will see Jarin more 1st game unless Ivy is HOT from the door. (not a battle at that position) JSU signed another QB and will be known by Fall Camp.

Runnings Backs are set but I think if Robert Johnson or Moore don't get it going, we have a list of backs, that position is still open!
I hear people keep saying there is no QB battle but Ivy is not playing good ball right now. He's still telegraphing his WR. I think a lot of people are stuck on stats but once these secondaries get finish picking his azz off I think JSU fans will support the efforts with JM.

Hmmm so the Manning Camp didn't really help

Damn. I told y'all May is injury prone. May is the truth as far as skills, but the kid can't seem to have an injured free spring or fall. Ballard brings mad toughness, size, collegiate experience, and big time awareness to the SWAC table. He is the type of QB who will get a first down on 3rd and long by finding a close reciver on a broken play.

May is the future for A&M. He needs to take this time to work on his frame. He is still more dangerous than Ballard because he is faster and throws a better ball.

The manning camp wasn't really aimed at teaching the college QB's. They had moments were could have took notes from other players as well as other instructors like the mannings but it wasn't aimed at them more so high school players. Ivy and other QBs served as mentors to the high school players. Honestly coach Jackson was hoping he got lighter on his feet but nothing happened there. He did drop a few pounds but he still slow at getting the ball to his WRs and doesn't fully execute his play action being he doesn't fake it all the way out like the Hawaiian QB. But I mean he's solid but you can tell some of the key techniques that he was missing last year that could have made him better he's still missing them. coach Jackson and Chang are giving him the lead but you got to want it as much. From what I'm hearing the first couple games will be a 2 QB system until somebody takes the lead roll. Plus former AD Vivian fuller was a fan of IVY last year but she's no longer in that position so expect Ivy to be not given as many chances like last year.
