Im at the point where I trust the AD… and ready to support whoever is hired… if I had one in particular I would go after Valdosta State head coach.. but im not going to cry and biatch if he isnt selected. I support the program not the coach!

I am going to come from a different approach. I am more concerned about the assistant coaches than the head coach. I think AD Bryant will find a good coach. We need assistant coaches who can develop players with fundamentals and yearly improvement. In addition, make adjustments during the game with the same vision as the head coach. We need assistant coaches who understand the importance of player development with the goal of not only developing a team, but a PROGRAM as well.

Shade has a damn good staff at Miles.

Yea Miles staff is nice… former AAMU head coach, one of the best DBs in Alabama history (Antonio Langham)… former AAMU assistant head coach
TREMAINEJACKSON>>>SAM SHADE
If we go the d2 route..Sam shade would'nt win the East or the Swac
They said he wouldn’t win a 6a state championship in his first year of coaching high school football… they said a high school coach coach should have never been hired for a D2 head coaching job…. He won the conference…. At this point we need to stop saying what a man cant do lol. He 2 for 2 so far.

He would be 2-1 trying to win the SWAC lol...hopefully AD Bryant doesn't go the Sam Shade route.if he insist on getting a coach from D2 ranks just bring T Jack in

The Last time we hired a D2 coach (Jones) it worked out great and he won us our first SWAC championship. Maynor got the A&M bc of what he did as a D2 coach not what he did at Hampton, which was nothing.

sounds like we might need to try the FCS or Celebrity coach route for a change...let's do something different this time! AD Bryant will be judged on this selection since this is HIS HIRE now so i see him making a splash this go round...

I’m not a fan of the celeb coach philosophy bc it’s not a long term plan. That celeb wants to build his resume by using your school for 2-3 yrs and then they are gone and you back looking for another coach

As long as they leave your program in a much better situation than what they found it then it's still a win/ win... especially if they win ships.

This is simply the price of doing business with a good coach that is wanted by other programs.
The days of good coaches sticking around at an HBCU are OVER.
