New AAMU HC 2025

The money is there, at this point it's in the hands of our administration to have that tough conversation. I honestly think he's going to step down after the FAMU game and take his talents back to the CIAA. He's a good coach who just isn't able to cut it consistently at the FCS level and we need somebody to come in and rejuvenate our fanbase. We've got too many alums in the HSV-Bham area that choose to sit home and watch Auburn and Bama play because we have been mediocre. Bryant has got to get this hire right to take advantage of the positive trend the university is on.
My thoughts exactly. Maynor's teams have consistently been soft defensively. He's suppose to be a QB guru but has yet to recruit and develop an adequate starting QB. He's embarrassed us on multiple occasions with big talk in the media only to look mediocre and unprepared on the field. Outside of the COVID season he's been nothing but a .500 coach. And don't get me started about his unfair handling of the QB position that's a whole other essay. I'm counting down til he's outta there

Look up Greater Baton Rouge.
We arent speaking of greater Baton Rouge…..
I never mentioned metro areas…..Im speaking solely on SWAC cities. Not knocking any SWAC city at all…. Im just speaking on the “way too isolated and boring statement that TP mentioned… but like I said earlier I know TP just likes to hear himself talk sometimes… Anything you can do in any other city… its here…. It’s just not hood and Black folks got money…. It’s less than 100 miles from Birmingham, Nashville, Chattanooga, so how is it isolated?

It’s a bunch of cities that are practically in BR. BR is huge.

I need to come to Huntsville, I haven't been sine my sister song in the Mississippi Mass Choir at Aamu campus in 1991.
It's a totally different city now. I had friends who graduated from A&M in 1994 that came from homecoming for the first time since then who couldn't believe it. They all stated if Huntsville was like it is now vs then they would have never left.

Its a great place to raise a family. It's nice up there but you have to have a reason to even go that way.
Legend, you raise a good point. I am not challenging your opinion. However, please provide a list of the most desirable SWAC Cites. Please rank them. Others, please feel free to join him. I have only traveled to Baton Rouge, Jackson, Montgomery, Huntsville, Houston, and Lorman.

I think all SWAC schools minus Itta Bena and Lorman have things to offer. Some more progressive than others. Folks always attak Jackson as if Baton Rouge, Birmingham etc don't suffer from the same or similar ills. Still, I have a good time in Houston, Birmingham, Jackson, Baton Rouge etc. Tallahassee????? Never been for a game or to visit and stay. I tried to visit Huntsville outside of a JSU game and was done after day one. I'm in Metro Memphis so hey its always something going on here even with the crime in the city.

Gotcha. I am not a guru on SWAC schools due to I haven't visited them all. I have family in Memphis. I remember when you could walk down Beale Street at night and feel safe. Unfortunately no city in immune to crime. Now, there's a lot to do in Houston if you can avoid your car from being stolen. New Orleans and Houston are a paradise for car thieves.
