Since Maynor is no longer under contract after the season, here's my wish list:

1. Fred McNair (currently an asst at Southern) - He's the most qualified coach on the market. A proven winner and program builder.
2. Sam Shade (HC at Miles College) - Probably one of the top D2 coaches on the rise. Won a nat'l championship at Bama in '92 and had a very good pro career. Doing great things at Miles on the field, recruiting trail, and the portal. A Birmingham, AL legend (he was a member of church so I'm biased).
3. Broderick Fobbs (Currently a position coach at La-Monroe) - Relationships matter and Fobbs worked under AD Bryant at GSU from 2016-18. Two time SWAC champ and 1 nat'l championship speaks for itself. Has not been a head coach for quite a while which could be a concern.
4. Robert Mathis - I have no idea if Mathis wants to coach or not. He loves the university and comes back every year to help train defensive linemen. He'd be our version of Eddie Rob.
5. Ed Reed - AD Bryant loves social media so why not kick the tires on the celebrity coach market. Other than Mathis, this is the only hire that will make the nat'l news.

I like Sam Shade. I doubt Fobbs comes him and Bryant didn’t have the best relationship at Grambling. I highly doubt Fobbs coaches at a HBCU again a lot of stuff happened at Grambling behind the scenes.

Let the natives tell it, he was playing inelibles and about to hit APR sanctions.
I have heard different things, but some of the former players have said that him and the AD relationship was really bad to the point meetings schedule by Coach Washington on the behalf of the players that the AD skip out on. As far as the ineligibles and APR sanctions that sounds like the AD should of take those duties away from Coach Washington, if he had them, and a person or team for compliance.

Sam shade needs some Division 1 coaching experience..A&M doesn't need a D2 coach experiment right now that we hope can get it right...I would get Fred Mcnair before shade...

10 Candidates in no particular order:

1. Grady Brown (DB Coach for Steelers; AAMU Alum)
2. Tremaine Jackson (24-8 at Valdosta St)
3. Will Hall (56-20 at UWG and UWA; publicly stated that he wanted the job some years back)
4. Fred McNair (48-33 at Alcorn; 2 SWAC championships)
5. Sam Washington (31-15 at NCAT; 2 Celebration Bowls)
6. Jeremy Pruitt (Big Name that could win instantly but has a 1 year ban from NCAA)
7. Tyrone Nix (DC at Tarleton St.; Has coached at multiple SEC schools; Alabama native with major recruiting ties)
8. Dameyune Craig (Top tier recruiter at the FBS level; current WR coach at Georgia State)
9. Matt Leone (NCCU OC)
10. Sam Shade (Miles HC; Program builder who can recruit the state effectively)

The man who everyone should be looking at is Tremaine Jackson from Valdosta State. If we get an opening , this is who i want

Agree 100, once our search began I wanted my TSU to bring in Chennis Berry first, but I had Tremaine Jackson a very close second.

Tyrone Nix is another good one. IDK , if we wants to come to HBCU football tho

Smh people come and people go. It's amazing that A&T was the only school to ever hire him as a HC and give him a shot. But now we the bad guy lol

I mean, a lot of schools are the only schools to give coaches their first or only hire so I’m not sure what you mean by that or why that was even stated lol. Further more, y’all have gotten worse since he left. Whatever decision yall made is just that and yall have to sleep with it. If you’re happen with it, fine. I just gave my opinion on it because I don’t think you should have gotten rid of him, from the outside looking in.

I mean if all ya'll speak so glowingly of him, why didn't anyone hire him before A&T?

Most teams get worse when they get a new coach, When Prime left did yall go to the CB? NO. Again new coaches take time. Our dropoff is just more drastic.

We may not have went to the CB last year, but ain’t nobody just beating our asses either the way folks doing yall. We are actually progressing upward if anything and this is only year 2 for TC. Yall just made a bad hire man. We’ve all been there.

Losing is losing sir. Whether it's by 1 or 100. You didn't accomplish your goal which was winning the SWAC. Which means your season was a failure.

Just like we didn't accomplish ours

Going 1-10 last year compared to 7-4 (JSU) ain’t the same. Neither is being 1-7 this year to our 6-2 and potential SCG host and appearance. Yall are last in your conference. You of all people know that’s incomparable 😂. Thats only 2 wins in two seasons. But if you love your coach, go off brother. I love it for you 😂

I don't love him. Is what it is. Have to rebuild. We lost a lot of good players to NIL with FBS schools. Rebuilding isn't instant especially when we doing it with mostly kids coming from HS. If he don't win next year, he will be let go.

Again in 2023 you didn't a championship. Neither did we. I believe in the Ricky Bobby philosophy ; If you're not 1st you're last. So yea you won 7 games but what did you get from it? Exactly. Good luck to you all.

We rebuilt as well. Lost over 60 players in 2023 so we had a whole new roster on top of an entirely new coaching staff. Regardless of what YOU believe, we didn’t expect to win the championship with a first year HC & new staff. No one does, because that’s unrealistic. This year is a different story. Again, incomparable. A bad hire is a bad hire regardless of how you want to flip it 😂. Trust, we know from experience my guy. 😂
