Character has to mean something! Won and loss records go out the window if you can’t beat the rivals. Valley and others are firing coaches as if they have money to burn. To me Connel Maynor is a good coach. Great personality and of good character. I sometimes wonder if it isn’t the administration falling short.
 
Is this the most number of coaches being fired or not having their contract renewed at the same time in HBCU history?

CIAA: Elizabeth City State and Shaw University

Common sense has to mean something.

Who are you going to attract? Fire a coach every two years-yall know what being fire happy gets you?

Sacramento Kings 2006-2024-12 coaches in 18 years.

What does that do to players? No stability.

Supports and alumni have not been happy for awhile, so I am not surprise that this happen. It would not surprise me that an announcement on who the new coach is going to be for A&T is going to happen before any of the other coach position get filled. Also, don't be surprise if the former A&T coach ends up at Valley.

Try convincing many alums that despite the 2-20 record. And firing him on NSD just screams incompetence especially after allowing the coaches to recruit 9 days after 11/23

That's the crazy thing about this. The interim AD made this move. The same interim that is 3-37 in their last 40 D1 basketball games but the incompetent president could possibly let this person hire a football coach (this after running off a successful AD back to work with Ashley at Jackson State)

More and more alums see it's the incompetent president that's holding Valley back

"Coach Vincent Brown has been relieved of his head coaching duties at North Carolina A&T State University, Director of Athletics Earl Hilton announced on Wednesday. Brown, 59, coached the Aggies for two seasons after spending four years as the defensive coordinator at William & Mary.

Well-said! Valley is a unique situation. Unlike any other in the SWAC, but very much the same across the HBCU landscape. We’re no longer flush with talent and lack facilities to compete with other schools. Wade should have been given reasonable goals on a timetable of at least four years. Beating FAMU should have meant something.
