West Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Alabama are Republican lead states that have finished 45-50 in education for over 30 years. So what is the issue? The Republican party is leading these states. Why are they last in every category of life? What has the Republican party offered? Why is it so hard to give me a answer? None of you can name a total of five policies all five of these Republican lead states have done to help black people. Why is that so hard?

I can answer it. They done nothing. However they also not pretending to be your friend getting you to vote for them then pass not one bill for you either. In short we have no friends.

You're mixing up state and federal governments. He asked about the state run governments. Democrats can't even get a bill out of committee in these states because they are completely run by republicans.

No offense but you never answer a question directly.

Actually I did they can find the votes for a bill when they want too if it’s state or federal. Its just not popular to put a bill on a table that will benefit black folks in fact they will recruit black folks on both sides of the aisle to shoot it down. Like Jim Clyburn he made a lot of excuses for police reform now he doesn’t want qualified immunity taken away his excuse was well we can’t have the whole loaf but he can give the whole bread factory to everyone else. You're describing a cultural problem (fueled by rap IMO) in our community. I'd agree with you and @levarg that if we could get this behavior under control we could move like the other groups. Basically, politicians respond to money. Unfortunately, their prisons make money off us.

You can find stuff in the NDAA (the bill giving land to the Catawba) for recruiting and promoting research at HBCUs. But they weren't doling out millions of dollars so I didn't bother mentioning it.

Look at his question again. He didn't mention Texas. It's a gotcha question but gets to the root of the how these states treat poor folks.

I don’t live in Mississippi Alabama or those crap states. However, I did what other people can do Leave. No one holding you to be in Alabama. I mean there is always California if you want a blue save haven and you like to see homeless camps and feces on the sidewalks due to the high cost of living but I want to be in a state where I can build generational wealth. I don’t care about blue or red I care about the bottom line green and policy’s that will help me get there.
 
Another reason why I think black. Republicans are idiots is because they love to talk about the welfare system. They don't even know that welfare was created for white women. Blacks couldn't even get welfare until the 1950's. The original welfare queen is a white broad.

I think the point is this-

Republicans will let you know who they don't like and offer no excuse for it. No matter how bad it may eventually hurt them in the long run.
Democrats will try and if they can't do it-here comes excuses.
Both will agree on something that benefits them.

Blue states like California will try to take care of everyone instead of trying to make one sufficient or solving what causes them to be homeless.
Red state like Texas will view a kids book like New Kid as an attack on white folks instead making sure we don't FREEZE again in 2022.

Yes Pookie & Ray Ray are an issue. An issue created by feminisms, a selective justice system and a society that rewards and defends that bad behavior. Along with selective victimhood. Where is the Elijah McClain law at? Why are we more focus on guys with criminal records?

I know people don't like the reality that we always vote for the lesser of two evils. right now the greater evil is the gop. As I've told the guy who teaches next to me (white guy gop) the republicans can get my vote IF 1. they start being who they say they are (family values, christian, slightly libertarian) and 2. if they get rid of the racist among them. I can not rock with you if you are actively promoting people who today hate me b/c of my skin & culture.
they won't do it. they've doubled down trying to strip us of voting rights. they don't want black people in their party. are the democrats the be all end all? no. I'm not loyal to them at all, but nationally right now... there is no alternative, and locally they're out here saying they don't even want people to talk about our history or why we have a problem with a lot of white people.

Forgive them they don’t know any better. They were trained to vote blue no matter who. Then don’t follow up on what they voted for. Then get pissed when you dare call out Zaddy democrat. Our people Also have a high tolerance for white excuses from folks in blackface. These liberals will find a Joy Reid and Roland Martin to scapegoat someone else for democrats not passing anything for us. But they have already passed 40 other things for “marginalized communities” = white gays, illegals, and everyone else who don’t even vote for them as much as we do. Here is another kick in the nuts. These liberals are so bold now they are now telling us what our needs are as if we don’t know them. Now it’s voting rights I been black a long time and even after every restrictive voting laws passed I still managed to vote with no problem. That’s not a priority considering all the obvious needs the black community have.
