There are Latinos who are hard core conservatives, regardless of country of origin. Many of the Cubans in Florida are very anti-Castro. So I am not surprised by many of them voting republican.
However, the democrats have an outreach problem not only to them but us as well. The leadership of the party keeps going after that moderate republican, who continues to vote for republicans. Look at the Democratic National Convention. They have republicans on there who were not exactly moderates but conservatives, especially Kasich. Democrats will have to re-think their outreach strategies.
