True. Especially given the season they had last year. Pay is one thing. But some coaches need to know what kind of commitment a school is going to make to the program. I'm sure London appreciates that Howard gave him a chance, and London, in return, did his best for Howard. But both sides had to have known that if London had any modicum of success that other schools would come calling. We knew he wouldn't stay at Howard long but it must have been a significant pay raise to go to another FCS job (even if they are considered a "higher level")
Who is "they"?Wow.
They sure go running when them other folks call

Or, they just paid him more money.
Its funny how PWIs will overlook race to hire who they feel is a winner but many of our schools won't...
I don’t know about that either. If that was the case, we would see much more FBS programs with black head coaches. HBCU’s try to keep it in the family to continue to give black men chances at a dream. Just like PWI’s, a coach if a different ethnicity usually gets a shot when it’s time to go for the Hail Mary! Black coaches usually get the worst jobs available in the FBS ranks.

Well he did double his salary for 3 seasons so it's basically like 6 seasons at JMU, plus no state income taxes in Texas.See the Texas State coach. He left a FBS-lite job at JMU to take the FBS job and got canned after 3 years.
Thats not true. These schools have or had black head coaches...
Texas A&M
STANFORD
Vanderbilt
Penn State
Oregon
Florida State
Syracuse
Illinois
Arizona State
Come on @Basebone1898 you know thats false.
Which is why a couple of our schools need to be FBS. The literally would become a factory for black head coaches, forcing pwi's to hire them away b/c they don't want to get beat by them.I don’t know about that either. It wasn’t about that.

it would if we would play them and beat them...oh, wait...that's what this entire thread is about. london played and beat them. they hired him away. wash, rinse, repeat. If this was the case it would happen in FCS.
