Really???? I guess that's why they get confused when the police decides to pull their azzes over and they start crying for their mommies. So the next time you see one pulled over by the police, go put something in his mouth so he won't add to his troubles.

And don't you sit on here and act like (if you have ever gotten in trouble with school, police, or a bully )call for your mommie or daddy!

:emlaugh:

This thread is stupid and funny at the same time! :lmao: :lmao:

Some of it is but some of it isn't. There is a serious problem with young AA men and policeman that is a national epidemic. What is also interesting and sort of a gray line is some posters are on opposite sides of the line to adulthood. I understand both sides.

From what I've gathered in this thread...it's known in Eunice that there's a racism issue. White cop confronts young black man that's now a celeb...that's from/familiar with Eunice (so he knows what's up with the white/black situation down there) and does something to piss off the white cop. Either he was parked illegally, which he moved his car. Or he mouthed off to the cop, or his music was too loud. Doesn't sound like it fits the other "national epidemic" scenarios...but more so unnecessary attention that could have been avoided.

Never!!! I tried to keep stuff away from my parents because my parents were worse than the police and my dad is a retired police officer. I remember getting a speeding ticket coming back from Fort Polk from a weekend training with the Army Reserve. I decided to pay the ticket and not tell my parents. But once the State Trooper ran my tags and realized that my car was registered to an address of a police officer, my parents knew before I walked in the house. I got mad at the State Trooper for notifying my parents that I was speeding.

My point exactly...we all have a place we may not like it but until you are in a position to do something else about it you have to roll with the current cards dealt...and I wish these youngin learn that...some are too busy being their friends and fairytale leaders!

To the contrary, it fits the billing. If he was correct it's harassment. If he wasn't he didn't know how to handle the circumstances. It all fits in the realm of the national epidemic with AA young men and policemen across the country.

It still would be nice if some fine big chested sista came over while the police had me pulled over and promise me that she would put something in my mouth if I kept my mouth shut. I won't say another word.

I honestly don’t know what point you’re trying to make, because one minute you’re making assumptions about this kid…….

Yes the 5th round to Seattle

And as for being picked on I don't think so...when you have an asshole who thinks they can say this (he told the officer, "I own Eunice" and "I'm going to buy these projects and you are going to be mine," before getting into his car) to an officer of the law (be that officer white or black)...Ya'll better teach your babies about a got damn badge!

And then you go on to post that the kid was drunk…….

I don't know the parts of Eunice but yes he was drunk on top of that dumbness and you know those two don't go together!

But there was absolutely nothing in The Advocate that indicated this, nor was it indicated that the officer reported Simon being drunk. This also was not reported on WAFB (Channel 9), which leads me to believe the kid was NOT drinking nor was he drunk, because if he had been, you and I both know that (since this is a Black former LSU player who just got drafted), this would have been reported right away.

You posted that you “know all the piecesâ€â€¦â€¦

I read the article and the acticle that originally ran the day before the Advocate got theirs in...I know all the pieces...was making a funny!

But then you say this……

Then I can't wait until this officer is fired and/or the city is sued by Simon...since he was minding his own business and complying!

...........and this……

Shyt apparently so since the Advocate is quoting a police chief that saids he complied with the orders of the police officer!

which tells me (I could be wrong) that you did not read the article that JagBR posted.

And as for your comments about his upbringing, they have absolutely nothing to do with what happened. He was showing off in front of his friends, and that's not something any of us is a stranger to. It's not for you to question his parental raising. But it would appear your "theory" about his parental upbringing is also incorrect because the Eunice police officer did say that Simon apologized to the officer.....

Dies said a copy of the arrest report was not immediately available, but would be forthcoming.

Dies did not give The Advocate a copy of the arrest report and did not return subsequent calls about the receipt of the arrest report.

The police chief said the resisting an officer count against Simon stemmed from his refusal to place his hands behind his back.

“He wasn’t aggressive toward the officer,†Dies said. “He did apologize to the officer for being rude. He understood he made a mistake and was showing off in front of his friends

That is all.

You are Wrong Period!

You are Wrong Period!

No, I'm not wrong, The Advocate, WAFB (Channel 9), and the Eunice Police chief are wrong, because they are who reported this news. I'm going by what the media reported, which is all I can do. If what the media reported is false, then I simply repeated false information from Louisiana's media outlets.

You, on the other hand, posted all these comments, not me. YOU posted that you know all the pieces. I don't know this kid but from what YOU posted, you act as if you know everything about him. I guess since he was a former LSU player, that gives you some sort of inclination to comment as if you know him, but you really don't. So, it would appear that YOU are wrong.

Some time ago, I tried to give you some friendly woman's advice about discretion, but I see this is something that you continue to miss. And the irony of this is that you often like to post how others can't or don't read.......WOW!!.

Nothing like a smart sister with understanding.

Old Simon went to Cajun Country and proclaimed ownership. That must have been the ackahol (alcohol). Eddie from the Five Heart Beats, send help! I know this didn't happen in Happy Hill (hood in Eunice). :emlaugh:

I made a joke about him being drunk and some of you all just ran with it. :smh:  :emlaugh:
