First off... Tharold is my little cuzzin.. I am very proud of his accomplishments.. Congrats on the Draft!!! Yes, the comments weren't the smartest move. However, he was NOT drunk.. and You must remember.. as a NATIVE of Eunice, LA... Racism and Red Neck Syndrome is deeply rooted in my Hometown.. Once I left, I vowed NEVER, if within my power to live there and raise my children there... As we, is family spoke to and encouraged him.... He is NO longer the lil dude from Eunice.. He is now a high profile.. Any and Everything he does will now be scrutinized to the 10th power... He is a good Kid.. Just let his mouth get the best out of him.. especially after the many many incidences of Eunice PD harassing Blacks... Young and Old...

So before you make assumptions, one should ALWAYS check the sources....

Eunice is a melting pot for racism..... Remember.. I graduated from Eunice High School in 1997 and I attended a SEGREGATED Prom!!!

So he was riding along in his automobile and the officer was jealous that this kid was about to make more money then him in the next few days and decided to teach him a lesson in remembering you are just a ninja boy...come on now and the Mayor in this same town of rednecks was honoring him the next day and they did...I hope Simon take that lesson with him for the next time he is stopped by the police and close his mouth and move any disrespect he feels from police need to be written down on paper and submitted to his local NAACP or whatever!

How about I passed through there with a police in the car with me and we got questioned while pumping gas (I kid you not). Of course the guy I was with showed him his badge and he moved on. That was a long time ago but it did happen.

Now, are the rednecks in this town Black or White? Because if they are Black, then he would need to get with his local NAAWP. :lol: :emlaugh:

When I heard this... I realized that this had two possible scenarios. Either the player "smarted off" at the police officer or the police officer got "Billy Badazz" and went overboard. Either way not good..especially for Simon. Something as minor as moving your car, should have been handled better by both parties. I've seen Cops get out and make it "confrontational" when it's not necessary and vice versa. A simple "drive by" and flash of the lights would have hopefully gotten the car moved... or even stopping, giving them a quick "let's keep things in hand fellas" and roll out is often a wise approach by the officer. As for Simon (or any of our young people)... just learn to comply with simple requests about moving your car. It ain't worth the hassle! Just my 2 cents!

But DCG said Eunice is a town full of rednecks. I'm still trying to find out from her, what type of rednecks. Simon should be glad that it wasn't Otis that told him to move his car.

That is what happen to folks that start hanging out in bars like the ones in Tigerland. They don't like it when the government is threatening their constitutional rights. Although driving a car in this country is not a right. It is a privilege.

Mike, Simon did move his car when he was asked to by the police. The Eunice Police chief said he moved his vehicle, according to the article in The Advocate.

Hey JROCK,

I'm just trying to find out how her brain is wired, because in another thread she said someone called the White man in Baton Rouge rednecks. Texican will soon be a formal language after Texas secede from the Union. :lol: :emlaugh:
