Jackson State at Tulane in 2013?

GR really hates the person that brought this up. These SU folks are having a FN baby over this. I hope its not true, lawd knows what they will do the week of the game.

JR, Tulane is Big East also now so their money is UH money but with the BE in a flux, teams can't even project revenue for the next year as the TV deal is in limbo and the overall conference

But SU will play UH in Reliant next year so that magical payday is about to drop as now UH has to deal with new expenses.

Actually U of H has more money than Tulane. Their alums are finally giving some money to fix their athletic program. Hence the new stadium and the redo of the basketball arena to come out of the stone ages. And you already know that Texans owner Bob McNair and Reliant done cut a good deal with U of H. One of those big rich U of H cats plays golf or belongs to the same country club as McNair. You know the deal. U of H ain't going to go broke from playing at Reliant for a year.

I suspect jsu will play U of H and ULL in a year or two. They are notorious for copying what S.U. does. It is just who they are....followers

The students funded the stadium at UH but UH will be apart of the Mountain West next year at best

Opening at Reliant

Hell it makes more sense for them to go to the Mountain West than the Big East anyway. I think Boise State may end up back in that conference. As for opening at Reliant. It is what it is. U of H issue. Not SU's. We just want our money. LOL. They will not be able to fill that thing none of the games next year. But I guess they have no other alternative since they blew up their stadium to being construction on a new one in the same spot. Maybe with a bigger and nicer stadium they can finally get their students to support the program more with attendance instead of being commuter U or Cougar High. LOL.

There was a gate split the first two games with Tulane, along with a lump sum figure up front. ULL let SU keep the money from all the tickets SU sold along with a lump sum, so your FBS theory is out the window. ULL set a stadium record that day, and the crowd was 65% JAGS. Like JROCK said, SU had problems getting paid from Tulane.. Tulane messed all over FAMU  , but that was their AD's fault.

For some reason, I was thinking you were stating a 50/50 gate split. That's why I said no FCS school is going to get a gate split with a FBS school. I know that some FCS programs, not all, are able to agree to some type of gate split when playing a FBS school. You are right about FAMU getting sh_tted on in 2004, but you have to remember what FAMU was going through that year. They would have taken a $100 pay day from SUNO if asked for a game.

This JSU vs Tulane game, (if it is a done deal), should bring in 30K at the least. Even though Tulane's crowds have been pretty horrible, I am 100% sure that New Orleans is going to really promote this game and high schoolers are going to buy tickets to see the Boom. Tulane fans, who haven't had much of a reason to go to football games since 2002, will most likely show up because of the local signing class hype and Nick Montana starting at QB.

Nah JR. This is not possible. Tulane has that old Jew money in the mix. That stadium they are about to build the bulk of the money came from funds that were donated by just three families which include the Benson family. As much as damage as Tulane got from Hurricane Katrina they said eff it and used that Jew money and told FEMA and their insurance companies we'll deal later. Over the last few years Ellen Digineress and Jerry Springer and a bunch of other notable alums have been making it rain. As much as Brad Pitt hangs on campus you would think he's an alum too. That new UC they have is off the chain.

Tulane and UL offered SU a 50/50 gate split. SU's first two games with Tulane were 50/50 gate splits but it took a long time for them to pay SU. Famu actually though they were going to draw 60,000 for that game  .

What do you consider a long time? I think the fact is that SU did get paid right? I wonder how much of that money actually went where it was supposed to go.

A 50/50 gate split with ULL and Tulane? There had to be a attendance minimum in order for SU to get 50%.

They ain't pimp nothing. They were slow paying. I can guarantee SU made more than what JSU will get lol.
Hell............. Did SU ever get paid from Mobile.
They jacked ya'll for your money 2 years str8 and then you SU fools signed on for the next year anyway. Ya'll get pimped all over the Southeast.

It's because they're desperate idiots. they'll do anything to make a $.
When you're broke you don't have a choice.

So I guess since we can't win any of these games, we now argue over who gets skull drug the most and how much pay we receive for bending over? :shame:

Man it is just like a few of my partners got mad at me because I wasn't excited because we beat Miss St in bball. Yes, I am glad we won, but we should beat more of these teams in the first place. isn't that the purpose of putting money into our programs?
Sad ain't it....bragging over getting beat by Tulane and U of H...

Some folks dont understand that, but now they say its to keep our athletic dept a float...With the uneducated/unrealistic fan base and horrible administration we have in the SWAC the thought of a D2 conference isn't that far away but thats just my opinion!

Yep. We got our money from them awhile back. Just a horribly run classic. But remember that was Bama State's home game if why we ended up playing there. It wasn't an every year thing.

That would be every school in the SWAC including JSU. We are all broke in the grand scheme of things. None of us have money or none of us would even entertain these beat downs for paydays. So every SWAC school is desperate. None of us are flowing with cash by no means. If we were, we would be paying mofos to come play us in our own stadiums, our schools would have state of the art facilities athletically across the conference and the list goes on. Just saying. Ain't no rich school in the SWAC. Not one.

JR, please don't do the usual and lump other schools with your struggling school. Thanks in advance.
