NCAA To Impose "Unprecedented" Penalties On Penn State

Good for you, but keep your exorcism to yourself. By the way, how do you feel about muslim schools being able to profit from the Jindal's school voucher program?

Maybe Penn St should have performed one on Jerry before the NCAA got to them.

I think they NCAA took advantage of the Public Opinion Outcry and acted to get their pound of Flesh ($60 Million Fine) for a matter that involved the football coach but not necessarily was something that gave them a competitive advantage on the field. If one of our Coaches got arrested for smoking crack with a player is that the NCAA's place to punish the school and program for that coach's indiscretion? That's a criminal matter and should be addressed by the Legal System...not a college governing body for sports!

You and others keep trying to make this sooooooooooooooooooooo simple. If Comegy gets all skinny and we find out he is smoking crack, then he need to be fired. If the cops catch him, he needs to have his legal due process. But how does that relate here? The only way that relates here is if Comegy is smoking crack, our Prez and AD knows about, covers it up, gives his supply man free reign of campus and allows others to be put in harms way. If my schools does all that, the NCAA needs to step in becasue we are not following the ethics code set forth by the NCAA that ALL NCAA member schools must follow. According to your example, Sandusky was turned in immediately and banned from campus. That is the only way Penn State was not liable here to the NCAA.

Just remember this. If the NCAA will use this new found power on one of their so-called "Bigs", then what about us (HBCUs)? Yeah, we may never have a scandal like this at our schools, but as many of you know that it doesn't take much for them to come after us either.

Dude, ethics rules were ALREADY on the books and it will take another case like this for the NCAA to pull those big guns out again. Luckily, the NCAA had the ethics by-laws written in black and white. Otherwise, there is nothing they could have done. I would not have supported the moves if the rules were not already on the books. I would not have liked the outcome but I believe in doing things fairly.

There's no reason to punish these kids. They wasn't even there when Jerry did what he did. Why should they get punished? Why should the baby get thrown out with the bath water when the Justice department was handling it?

Whats the point. I have been asking the simple question of what rules did Penn State Football break and all you want to do is run around in circles, declaring yourself the all supreme expert. Just like that Jag guy............You the winner. :smh:

Guess you will get a good chat board **snicker** out of that. Now give yourself a pat on the back and point at the computer and say THERE!!!

I only asked you a simple question. You can't answer it. It's all good tho.

To punish them, would have been to not give them the option to transfer, without penalty. The school got the penalties. If they don't wanna be at a school that can't go to a bowl game, play for a championship, they can leave and go anywhere else they choose.
Good job NCAA.

Simple. The school CLEARLY violated NCAA rules. Also, those kids don't have to leave. Playing for pride is so much better than playing for a championship. They should have a goal of going 12-0 and stand together to achieve it. Why are they tucking their tails and running?

MH, just stop dude, cause you're starting to sound illogical like TP. Transferring is a punishment for these kids. They worked hard to get where they are on the depth chart and now they can transfer to be placed at the bottom and have to prove themselves to new coaches behind already established vets that know the system and coaches? That's punishment. And for what? Something Jerry did years before they even stepped or considered being on campus?

If you're a Penn State player and you consider transferring "punishment", then stay at Penn State. It's THAT simple. Stop trying to make it more complicated than it is.
Heck, the vast majority of times when schools get sanctioned, its not an offense that allows the players to transfer and not have to sit out a year. Penn State players can do that.

After reading these threads on here, it is really easy to see why 80% of our kids can run a ball and not read their own names. Unbelievable the way the minds of our people from the ghetto to the suburbs think.

Why should these kids just have to play for pride? What have they done to suffer that fate? They've been going to class, staying out of trouble, doing what they needed to do, so why should they have to suffer? Maybe if the NCAA came down on us when Charlie White fired that weapon on campus, or when those Bama St players busted their coach windows out his car, or maybe when SU's athletic director got caught cruising for a prostitute? Yeah, then maybe some would understand better then.

Now does this sound like some kumbaya stuff?

Now, how you're going to compare the Penn State incident to SU's former AD sexual desires? In that case, Arkansas should be closed down. At least Southern took action and fired that fool immediately after his sexual triad. It took Penn State 20 years after the fact to reveal that they harbor a child molester. Something is definitely wrong with your thinking. Are you sure you are not Uncle Ruckus from Boomdock?

You just missed the whole point. Maybe because Jindal have you too rattled.

I only asked you a simple question. You can't answer it. It's all good tho.

And you and nobody else will answer mine. All you can say is we defending JOE and Penn State.
But thats the norm here. Like you, it's all good since you won't answer mine either.

He's too busy defending Penn State that he forgets to answer anyone's question.

I didn't miss anything. Sounds like your heart bleeds for the casualties of the Penn State incident. Maybe Jindal got you performing too many exorcisms.

Stop trying to be like TP, there's only one of him. And since you obviously missed the point, I'm going to give it to you this time free of charge. It's about the kids. Penn St kids that has gave part of their lives to this University for several reasons and did not have anything to do with this mess. I could careless about the University itself.
