What did the NCAA do to Syracuse basketball for that child molester they harbored???

Or to Montana for their player rape cases.

that's because though heinous acts they didn't break ncaa rules. if I'm penn state and the ncaa brings out their ruling I ask that one question. "Which rules did we break again?"

don't forget that tcu players were running a drug ring. alleged 60 of them failed drug test.

Source: Penn State to be hit with fines in excess of $30 million

(CNN) -- Penn State University will be hit with fines in excess of $30 million as part of "significant, unprecedented penalties" expected to be announced Monday by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, a source familiar with the case told CNN on Sunday.
While the school's football program will not face the so-called "death penalty" that would have prevented the team from playing in the fall, the school might have preferred a one-year suspension because of the severity of the scholarship losses, postseason sanctions and other penalties, the source said.

You and Ceedog are probably the only individuals that graduated from a BAMA school that feels that way. Most BAMA graduates on here loves them some Crimson Tide.

I could care less if either Bama or Auburn play another game in my lifetime...

Now, what is going to do with the Big Ten? Are they going to drop Penn St or are they going to punish them in other ways.

I got a feeling come 9:00 am a all are going to be surprise at just what rules were broken.

But the students attending the school did not.

That does not matter. The school itself did. Why should an institution that knowingly violated federal rules over a long period of time be allowed to continue receiving federal dollars? Now, this won't happen but still. The argument is there.

Because the students that are attending that school for things other than football had nothing to do with what the higher ups did. Just clear out the administration at Penn State and start anew. No reason to do anything past that point, the punishment shouldn't do anything to affect the education of the thousands of students that are attending the school. The education of those students should matter.

but does the ncaa have the authority to punish an institution for breaking federal law?

And just where did you get the idea that it would be affecting the education of regular students?

Then why isn't it being sent to the infractions committee?
Why isn't there any due process being made?

Drop the hammer NCAA
Drop the Damn hammer

YEP!!!!! AGREE 1000%.........and NULL & VOID (TAKE AWAY) ALL wins since 1998 or whatever the date was that it was shown that Joe P, the AD and the Prez knew about this sick snit that was going on right there in front of them and they allowed it to happen in order for the coach to break Eddie Robs record. I say give them the DEATH PENALTY:smash:..........If the NCAA caught an HBCU giving a prospective recruit (who had not eaten in two days) a Happy Meal......the PWC powers that be... would not give a flip if an HBCU were given the death penalty.
