Two-time MEAC Player of the Year Joe Bryant Jr. is one of several players of players invited to participate in the 2023 G-League Elite Camp.
Bryant led the Spartans in scoring, averaging 17.8 points per contest, and was selected to take part in several postseason showcases, including the Classic for Columbus, Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, and the NABC Reese’s Division I All-Star Game, where he was the East Team MVP.
In Chicago from May 13-14, the NBA G League Elite Camp is a three-day event that allows NBA Draft prospects to display their skills in front of scouts, coaches, and front-office executives from both the NBA and the G League.
The players participate in a battery of strength and agility skills and participate in five-on-five games.
Based on their performance during the camp, several athletes will be invited to participate in the NBA Draft Combine later in the week.
Last year three players from HBCUs – M.J. Randolph (FAMU), Kyle Foster ( Howard ), and Brison Gresham ( Texas Southern) – took part in the camp.
