Days before Delaware State is slated to play its spring football game, Hornets quarterback Jared Lewis has announced he is entering the transfer portal.
Lewis threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns over four games in 2022. In his first season as the starter in 2021, he recorded 1,364 passing yards, completing 51% of his passes, and threw 20 TDs.
Lewis transferred to Delaware State from Fort Scott Community College, playing two seasons with the team as the primary backup.
