The Delaware State University women’s basketball team goes into their first full season with Jazmone Turner as head coach and their 2024-25 schedule was released Thursday afternoon, with a notable opponent making a trip to Dover early in the season.

On Thursday November 14, the Lady Hornets will host Ole Miss of the Southeastern Conference, the second straight season an SEC school will visit a MEAC school. During the 2023-24 season, LSU played a game at Coppin State.

The Lady Rebels are led by head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, who comes into the season with a 197-147 record in 11 years at the D-1 level. She first coached at Jacksonville University before moving on to Ole Miss in 2018, where she has since led the team to three NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2023.

The Hornets finished the 2023-24 season 8-20 with Turner serving as interim head coach following the mysterious departure of E.C. Hill. The eight wins were the most since Delaware State won 12 games in 2019-20. Turner was elevated to full time head coach earlier this year.
