ATLANTA, Ga. — Jackson State head football coach John Hendrick and Bethune-Cookman head football coach Terry Sims addressed the media ahead of the 15th MEAC/SWAC Challenge scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 1 at Georgia State University Stadium.
“I am really excited for this game and the opportunity it provides Jackson State University,” Hendrick said. “This is going to be a great event for our alumni, our fan base, and most importantly, our student-athletes. The young men in our program will remember this event for the rest of their lives.”
“It’s great to be able to come to Atlanta to play a football game because we recruit heavily in Atlanta,” Sims mentioned. “For kids to be able to come out and watch us play in person, we’re just excited about it.”
The press conference also included comments from BCU athletic director Lynn Thompson and JSU athletic director Ashley Robinson.
The MEAC/SWAC Challenge will air live on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. CT.
