Grambling State and South Carolina State will meet in the 2020 edition of the MEAC/SWAC Challenge, according to the official Grambling State athletics website.
The game will be played Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020, at Georgia State Stadium in Atlanta.
Grambling will be making its third appearance in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge with the previous two matchups resulting in losses to Hampton in 2006 and South Carolina State in 2009.
South Carolina State has played in the annual event four previous times with the last appearance resulting in a 14-8 loss to Southern in 2017.
FBSchedules.com is reporting that Alcorn State has agreed to participate in the 2021 MEAC/SWAC Challenge, which is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021. A team from the MEAC has yet to be announced.
Bethune-Cookman and Jackson State will compete in this year’s contest slated for Sunday, Sept. 1. The game will be televised on ESPN 2 at 3 p.m. (ET).
