Jackson State’s Ayanna Hardy-Fuller (Chicago, Ill./Morgan Park) has been named the women’s basketball player of the week by the Southwestern Athletic Conference for her outstanding performance in competition this past weekend and leading her team to their first two victories of the 2014-15 season.
Against Chicago State, Hardy-Fuller recorded her first double-double of the season. She put up an impressive 19 points and 15 rebounds. Against Murray State, Hardy-Fuller accomplished her second double-double. She led Jackson State with 26 points and 16 rebounds. She leads the SWAC in field goal percentage (.589). With Hardy-Fuller being a key player and leader during these games, she helped the Lady Tigers to claiming their first two wins this season. Along with the SWAC’s recognition, Hardy-Fuller was also been named Madness SWAC Women’s Basketball Player of the week on December 1st for her exceptional performances.
