Ah.............Actually it was JR that bought SU/FAMU into this in post #9 that you completely skipped over as usual when dealing with JSU threads. there was nothing wrong with JR's comment. TP was commenting on JR's comment about hosting SU/FAMU in Atlanta. Then like I said, the cry and die crew came in because SU's name was mentioned.

Now could we please go back to JSU scheduling an 11th opponent please........:smh:

I just agree with you on JSU playing FAMU would do well is all. And then responded to another post when someone said they FAMU backed out of the SU contract. I am gone let yall duke it out on here. I have no dog in this fight. LOL.

Its good to have one big money game at home every year. When SU comes to memorial, it's ok to bring in a Delta State that draws 15K. But this coming year, we need a big money maker. And if we can't get that at home, going the FBS route is the next best thing money wise.

Right but I thought u and I were comparing a home-home deal vs two home games. I guess I misunderstood.

Jackson State should try and schedule schools like SMU, Tulane, Memphis, UAB, Southern Miss. or Houston.

Jackson State football coach Rick Comegy says he's assisting athletic director Bob Braddy in trying to find the Tigers an opponent for the 2011 season opener.

Jackson State is lacking one game from completing next season's schedule - a Sept. 3 season opener.

"We've got some calls out," Comegy said. "I think I can get in there and find somebody that we can open up with that will tune us up for our conference."

Earlier this month Braddy said he's first trying to get a "money game" with a Division I team. The next option would be setting up a home-and-away deal with a team on the same level.

Braddy said JSU and Florida A&M have discussed a deal of that nature.

Comegy said he hopes the 2011 schedule will be finalized after the holidays in early January.

The Tigers' 2011 schedule will look similar to the 2010 schedule. The only difference will be the season opener and the home site of conference games.

For now, JSU's home games are Grambling, Texas Southern, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Alcorn State and Alabama State.

We outnumbered them in Mont this year too. All of our fans saw them cheat

Man damm Detroit and those classics.

If JSU travels to Detroit for a game, it better be against a FBS team for a nice str8 forward payday. If we don't get a FBS team then get a home and home with a FCS team or a Home game period. If a FBS game is not close like Miss State or USM, play ULL, Lou Tech, lou-Monroe, TROY, UAB, or anybody close enough to drive to the game and still gety a check. Why send the team 10 million miles away just to get kicked to sleep in front of 70,000 hostile fans. Damm playing these big azz schools on the other side of the continent.:smh:

Now somebody is thinking cause Memphis University people at the SHC in droves.

GR was joking (I hope) :lol:

I don't agree with playing these 1-A teams but if they make ya'll hard....oh well. I would rather just bring Delta State or Albany State to Jackson. If not that, we have room for a home-home with a 1-AA opponent since we can play 12 games next year.
