SWAC OFFICE CAN LEARN VALAUBLE LESSONS FROM SU AND PV

I could take trash out and make common sense out of this mess.......to hell with working a "corporate" job :rolleyes: Corporations lie anyway......if you know how to falsify expense reports and divert money...etc..

the SWAC Presidents aren't at the meeting....

the SWAC ain't paying neither school to attend these meetings either.......

but if you want to know who's paying money to attend these meetings....it's the employees of the school's themselves literally....

another "great" decision is behind that
 
After reading all of this other than a few of us already know, but my question to those of you who does not understand that everything has a cost associated with it: Where does the SWAC Office get is largest montery contribution and what is that figure?

Although AAMU won only two SWAC ball games they made every scheduled game. We are committed to the baseball program, we just joke about it because we are being joked, but a lot of people are upset about what happened this year.

The issue here is how the situation is being discussed, but I am sure some things went wrong, but if you are trying to keep up with 19 sports x 10 schools with minimum staff this is too much to bear. Suppose each school paid the salary of an additional person to work the major and minor sports in the SWAC Office, I will bet my last dollar that these issues would go away. Folks the money is not there, and sponsors are not going to give HBCUs any big dollars. If your fee is based on the number of students that are enrolled that means that the smaller schools are playing less dollars. Now before you say this is not important, think about when your team travel that somebody will have to buy the gas. When we have rain outs and teams have to make these games up and somebody is spending money that was not in the budget. All Mike is saying and I agree with him that we need some dollars in the SWAC. Now free does not mean free.
 



I will say this for the last time. The 483 fans at last years Championship game where primarily TSU fans. PV or Southern would have matched our fans.

State Farm Insurance is probably largest contributor to the SWAC. 1,000,000.00 per year there abouts. The contribution to SWAC were born out of the efforts of TSU, PV, Grambling and Southern existing relationships with that company.

That is not an excuse, 450 fans from one school is very good for a SWAC baseball game. I can see you probably do not attend a lot of baseball games.

Why does it matter if its 450 fans from one school or 200 fans from Texas SO and 200 fans from another school... its STILL 450 fans.
 
It matters if you are comparing the tourney in Houston as opposed to the one in Birmingham. It is also germain to the idea of a central location.

It was a long trip for MSV, therefore they did not bring a lot of fans.

Southern would have brought there normal baseball crowd, PV would have brought there resurgent baseball crowd.

In order to have a successful event, or game it is important for both participants fan base to turnout.

I hope this is elementary enough for you to comprehend, I can not provide you with a remedial response. Someone else will have to do this, if you can not understand the content of my post.

Oranges an apples are both fruits, however they are not the same.
