what a sad commentary!
:smh:

I can only imagine the outcry if somebody from the Southland Conference or the Gulf South Conference (read: somebody white) had posted a similar comment about the SWAC.

Personally MH, I could care the *F* less what anyone says or thinks. That's their first amendment right and I respect that. lol Just as long as it doesn't hinder/impede me or mine (PV/HU), I don't care too much.

I was always taught that if it quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, waddles like a.... duck. You call it a duck. If it sounds hoodish. Looks hoodish. Acts..... hoodish. Guess what? :retard:

Some of us expect better. I'm not for/pro moving jack to HTown if it's going to be in.... the hood and peeps lives are LITERALLY @ stake. :retard: Makes zero sense. Vowels was helping to cover the field w/ a tarp due to pending weather? WTF? :retard:

The answer to your 1st question is no. PV is an original charter member of this conference.

I didn't want to hang that over the other 9s head. :retard: :slap:

Carry on and respect the lineage. :retard:

hell...I never was in support of Legion Field when it won the bid but since you want to be smart..according to Bama Logic, we like to play in historical venues...lets go on and move the SCG game to the city park....Jim Brown might've ran on that field....we're stuck with Legion anyway until we die

BAMA A&M rarely supports things on campus but gets mad when PV rolls into their state and exposes the truth....it's odd when we're successful, your butts aren't

in 2003...PV brings the largest amount of fans to Fair Park Arena...AAMU was at home
2005...PV brings the largest fanbase to Alabama...AAMU was at home

I can see if AAMU or ASU can justify things by saying they sell out venues but they don't....there was a kid sitting next to me who was in awe about PV's baseball program but he said he was going to AAMU for baseball.....they don't even relay him messages he's going into a hornet's nest

when you tell the truth...they hate the truth...ignore anyone from Alabama on this subject....they showed the "lack" of support this weekend....

half these folks on here don't even attend events in their own backyards but want to sit and complain when they don't like the truth....

Mike......I'll put my rep on the line anytime...I've seen enough sports on all levels, been to numerous facilities and given my upmost support throughout the years to know what I'm talking about..for you to even suggest Rickwood Field is decent is ludicrous.....when was the last time you been? 1980? Why don't you poll the coaches on the field? Ask them if you think I'm lying?

-----------

You made a remark about McGregor Park and then even wanted to take a shot at PV.....McGregor Park would've been a way better venue than what I witnessed this weekend. And if you know baseball (I don't think you do)...PV's field is one of the SWAC's best.....the grass is manicured, the dirt is soft, the dugouts are spacious, the lights actually come on....need I go on?
It's sad your so blinded by Alabama that you overlook little things....ask ANY plyer from ANY team participating in the tournament would they want to go back there.

---

if yall like playing in dumps just to save a dollar, so be it but it's odd from a personal standpoint most of you all stay in the suburbs way away from the city to live the good life but then want the SWAC to settle for 10th class by playing in substandard conditions...

I thought playing for the championship was supposed to be a reward for hard work...not a downgrade...

Well it should feel like a champtionship game ANYTIME PV plays an away football game.... If you can put up with that rec league stadium PV plays in, you shouldnt complain about any other facility.

tell me how many times Crews is filled to capacity and resembles a college atmosphere? we're waiting until a survey done is come up with a stadium that can actually DRAW fans...not wait and fill up just for homecoming (hoping SU arrives)

The SWAC was founded in 1920.
How long should "historical" passes be issued just because you were there 85 years ago?

Especially considering your recent "performance" (recent meaning the last 20 or 30 years)

Black people have a serious problem focusing on issues. Must be DNA related or something.

*FOCUS* *FOCUS* *FOCUS* on the topic @ hand. SWAC choice for venues. Not a PARTICULAR schools' raggedy ass stadium. :retard:

Damn. :slap: lol

according to Mike we should still be playing in the same facility because it's historical

don't get testy because we proved Bham wasn't going to work AFTER a year of warning folks...

Hypthetically, how many of you 'supportive' Bamas would come to Houston to watch AAMU play ASU in anything?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Hardly none. That's a proven/given because they didn't support in their own backyard. Fully documented. :retard:

We got they asses on the ropes w/ spaghetti legs. Time to deliver the knockout punch! :slap:

Can you not apply that same formula to this stadium issue we are discussing?

testy?????

LOL

far from it....

I'm from a school that actually competes and wins in the sports that matter.
:D

oh well, maybe PV would have won the baseball championship if the tourney was in Houston. :shh:
That might be whats driving you now. :D

documented where?

When (whatever the name of the "classic" PV has with TxSou) gets to 70K like the MCC, give a holla
or get to 60K
or to 50K

(and Lacumba and gramuntildeath have already "documented" that half of the meager attendance you do get is from high school kids)
:lol::lol:

we don't compete.............obviously your just another misguided fan...

outside of football (RECENT SUCCESS via cheating) and basketball...what else do you compete in? I never heard of ASU in anything else....

You hear that perennial overall dominant Southern University? The SUccess of the overall athletic programme means diddly-ad-squat to most in this conference. There are only 2 sports that matter- football/basketball. :retard: Guess that mentality is alive and well in the academia faction too (only 2 majors matter lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!). Guess that's why y'all been kicking EVERYBODY's azz w/ respect to the Commish Cup. :retard:

Some of us aspire to higher aspirations to be competitive in everything. Don't care if it's tiddly-winks. Ditto for academia. :D Instead of concentrating on just 2 sports. :retard: That mentality is highly evident when one looks @ this past season's baseball standings. :retard: Obviously quite a few don't care. :retard:

Carry on!

well unfortunately, EVERYBODY has heard of PV
:(
your football team was rated the worst team ever and your basketball team was not far behind

and btw, those folks come to Dallas to see Gram. Not PV. (you can't be that far gone to believe they want to see PV)
