State Playoffs - LA

Rep that D'ville - back-a-town bootin' up here, but my squad Ascension Catholic has not been on the scene since the early 90s.

I'm from back-a-town too! 2nd street! Yeah I remember when I was a kid going watch Melvin Williams play! I went to DHS when the Green bros were playing.

Dville has flaws. They are very very very small on the o and d lines. They got pushed around up front by Episcopal and Dunham.

But we got speed!! And we almost beat East Feliciana. I saw that game with my own two eyes when I came home for SU's homecoming.

I was at that game also. EF has size and speed. That game shouldnt have been close. EF offensive coordinator didnt use all of their weapons that game, for some strange reason.

Ya'll are sleeping on #27 seed Acadiana(5-5). They are a top 5 team in 5A, but had to forfeit 4 games due to an inelgible player. I know East St. John is mad that they have to play a title contender in the first round.

I expect:

Acadiana and West Monroe in 5A
Salmen and Lutcher in 4A
Parkview Baptist and Redemptorist in 3A
John Curtis and Evangel in 2A
South Plaquemines and Block in 1A

hell no. East Feliciana, ask around, they the truth. They have maybe the best athlete in the state and he is in the 10th grade. Straight beast. Go online and look @ some of the highlights from Sportsline or ch 2 little high school show :) .

That team is LOADED!!!!

Talk about a contrast in styles... Block lines up in that double tight end/double wing formation and runs it for 4 straight downs if necessary. That huge as offensive line mauls folks and those backs can run. Then on Defense they swarm... unfortunately when they played Northwestern they lost some kids due to injury and some were limping around. Since most of their guys go both ways, you lose 3 kids and it's like losing 6 guys.

Supe... they got some Sicily Island kids who were given waivers to attend school there because we no longer (for the time being) have football. We're getting it back at the junior high level (last year and this year) and both years we got that azz. Last year we beat them in the one meeting, this year we met them twice... beat them by 2 scores the first game and in the second game we tied them 0-0 playing mostly 6th graders and a few 5th graders (true fifth graders) due to several starters being held out due to Academic shortcomings! We're trying to get jv level at High school for next two seasons and go full steam after that. (MB might be retired and go up there to volunteer coach) and Hell Yeah we still run the "Box"!!!!

What high school stadium you know of got a big "visitor's" side???? The whole point is to make the opposing fans feel uncomfortable in hostile territory! The 100 might have to sit on the bus until halftime:lol:!
Don't be a stranger when we roll through Monroe! I hope the stadium is big enough because the Marching 100 is coming too!

We may just do that so we won't have to listen to the theme song from Fame played 20 times.

:lmao: Well, I can't even argue with you on that! :shame: But they did learn "Talkin' Out the side of yo' neck" and "All I do is win" this year! I bout fell out I was laughing so hard when I heard them play that!

If nothing else, Block has always had players to tote the rock but this year the defense is just nasty. SI is gonna be the last team on Earth still running that ugly azz box.

The principal is my homeboy, he's younger than me.

That box was a beast... but it's modified now (or will be) to allow for more passing. Hell, it wasn't nothing but the shotgun ran from a tight formation. We used to run that mofo though, didn't we?

Who you...where you from?
