Southern Heritage Classic Part 2

Hmmm....interesting idea. Why take it out of Memphis tho?

It literally makes no sense considering that Memphis is 50%+ black with a pop of 650K with Jackson (a 80%+ black city of 150) and TSU being a 3 hour drive with no noticeable difference in size between the Liberty Bowl and the new stadium in B-Ham.

Memphis is still hot about the SHC ending as we know it! It's gonna be hard to replace JSU ... Thee I Love brought a lot of MONEY and EXCITEMENT to the city. The only time I ever considered visiting Memphis was during SHC weekend, now that's gone I have no plans or legit reason to visit in the future

It’s a shame the shc didn’t run no commercials promoting either school , have a place for viewers who couldn’t make the game have to watch the game on Facebook and YouTube stream, it’s a shame this game profited $10 million to the Memphis community and both get $350 k of that while the promoter took home at least $1 million. No more, JSU vs TNSU is not shut in the future, but it’s time to go back to the negotiation table asap . We can do home and homes if JSU believes that’s good business for them. So sick of the narrative and the underhanded business the promoter and the SHC have done.

RIP Southern Heritage Classic....😭😒😩😭

350k before expenses.. which means we make nothing from this game

It is not JSU's job to stimulate the city of Memphis economy every year or make money for the promotor. The city of Jackson economy needs boosted more than ever now. We are Jackson State University not the University of Memphis. If they want teams from Mississippi to play in Memphis, maybe Ole Miss should play the University of Memphis every year in Memphis or Mississippi State should play the University of Memphis every year in Memphis. Ole Miss and Mississippi State could move the Egg Bowl to Memphis ever year. Of course, Ole Miss or Mississippi State would never agree to such a stupid idea.

It is not advantageous for JSU, at all.

Everyone, including the city, is making valuable $$$$ off the product (JSU football).

JSU is solidly in a position to earn valuable $$$ simply by hosting home games and keeping the percentages of gate, concession fees, parking, vendor, et al fees.
