Prairie View A&M at Texas Southern Game Thread - 8:00pm CT

Should have ran the ball 3 times and kicked the FG with time running out. When they scored the TD I said dumb coaching. He left too much time on the clock.
Especially, considering Coach TJ had two time outs to work with. On the player end, our left corner has to learn bail technique. That big pass play that resulted in PV getting past midfield should not have happened. The game went from in the bag to questionable at that point.

Well I caught bits and pieces while watching my son play. But I'll say while there's definitely room for improvement at PV a Bubba team wasn't gonna pull that off. Good game and good luck to both teams on the rest of the season.

Welcome to our former world. smh

95 & 5 on D and 28 & QB on O for sTu played stellar games. 1000% legit. That was a slugfest and no one knew what to expect from the other w/ all the newness.

Good luck to sTu on the rest of the season.

Forgot lol. Hella' East side club zw/ the a/c & private bar/eating area. I assure you,all of us enjoyed it immensely and hopefully sTu receives some of that concession $$$$$ earned because we used it EXTENSIVELY 🤣.

Bama a&m vibes all over again.

Dishman can’t coach he ran a Tampa 2 Coverage leaving your LB one on one with a WR with the game on the line. This game is on Dishman.
Would you have used a nickel, dime or something else? I think I would have went with the dime. I can't figure out what Dishman or our DC was thinking because both played DB at a high level.

The last 5 minutes of this game was great on both teams. Glad mines pulled out the win. The rest of the west better look out for the Texas 2 Step.

Law Dawg two times the Cover 2 killed y’all on the last drive. The deep pass to get PV to like the 30 was bad. The Safety #48 came up on the crossing route and The PV QB threw it over his head. #48 was at Grambling last year and he was our starting NB he can play in space but he is not a deep safety. Last play of the game. I would have sent 3 and played Cover 4 backing my DBs to the Goal line with 4 guys underneath. Good play call by PV with the fly motion to let the QB know he had one on one with LB. LB was to close the line of scrimmage never had a chance to cover the WR.

Demoralizing for our players and fanbase.
Yep, I'm tired of loosing to lesser talent teams because of poor coaching.

Coaches decision:
Declining the penalty and taking the interception at the 2 yard line led to the safety.
Note: the fans were screaming "Take the penalty ". After the fact and the game was about to restart this foo..I mean coach called the officials over and asked if he could change his mind. 🤣 Ref: NO Sir. The ball has been set for play.

Coaches decision:
Throwing the ball for the TD with time left on the clock. When you were lined up and in range for a game winning FG. The coach could have run the clock down to nothing and made a FG that wasn't much longer than an extra point attempt. The kicker was looking good.

It breaks my heart to see these young men lose after fighting so hard due to poor coaching. TSU leadership should be ashamed of themselves for the last 3 unqualified Head Coaches they have employed.

That was a real head scratcher.

I'm calling DOGE and ICE on PV's band directors. ALL of them should be terminated immediately. They singlehandedly almost cost PV the game as we were poised to take control of the game on a 3rd and 1 at sTu's ~ 42 yard line.

Our OL couldn't hear the QB clap and flinched as... the sorry so and so's in PV's band were beating the drums LOUDLY behind them. While we were under center, the band was making all sorts of noise positioning themselves to help stop our O. Coach TJ looked back at the stands of PV band w/ a serious stare as we were given the 5yd penalty. How dumb.

Back to the drawing board, there is plenty to clean up. PV has to be given credit. Coach TJ did exactly what we told numb-skulls in our administration he was capable of. He can coach and turn programs around. The difference between PV last year and this year is akin to the difference between night and day.
Coach and staff did it w/out the full team. There were several key pieces missing. Notice that our big back (2nd teamm all-SWAC) did not play and our lightning back (3rd fastest on team) did not play. Also, there were a few heralded DL who did not play as well.

I trolled Herb earlier last week w/ the recert junk but I did tell the truth about missing players. Hopefully we can right it for next week. We need to demolish utrgv and send the message to the world that the SWAC isn't to be f'd with.

KJ Cooper looked really and that kick returner for TSU, Whhhyyyyyyyyyy did we keep kicking to him? He was really good. I told you the RBs for TSU were hard to tackle and those LBs are big. The center for is a big strong country looking dude

I was really puzzled by that decision, could have changed the whole game since our special teams weren't playing well

I thought sTu's #8 on defense was our former (current nfl'er) Quentin Bell he was too quick off the edge and strong as hell pushing our 6'6" 300lb right tackle around like a ragdoll. smh Dayam!!!

No, the safety came after a PV punt to the 2 yard line and stu had a flag for too many men on the field early in the 4th qtr.
The INT was in the 3rd qtr with the flag. I also wondered why he didn't take the penalty too.

Coach Jackson needs to address his players after the game antics. A bunch of players ran over to the tsu sideline and fans talking 💩 . That is never acceptable. These type actions can bring truly bad blood to what should be a family rivalry. We are too close together to be openly disrespectful like that.
