I truly believe qualified HBCU Alums exist, however a lot of our HBCU’S are controlled by non HBCU Alums.

I agree with Law, PV made a good hire. I will attend some PV game with the multitude of relatives that are PV Alums.
 
A lot of the AAMU Alums who coach are doing at P5 schools. I seriously doubt many applied or are willing to give up the 500k plus they make at P5 schools. Even they want to chase the dream their wives from what I'm told about a few of them said hell no. 😂 Reality is what it is.

The ones who make the most sense in cases I know of two off the top make too much money to even hire unfortunately - time their available to us they'll be fired multiple times or just trying to find something to do

There are others who want to come back in other sports but your telling them to take massive pay cuts - that's the world we live in now
 



Manny Diaz, Lane Kiffen, Cliff Kingsberry,Tom Herman, Hugh Freeze, Rich Rodriguez, etc., etc. Retreads. In Houston; perennial losers Rice & Houston Christian University would never entertain hiring Andre Johnson or someone with a similar resume.

Meanwhile our qualified graduates can not get jobs.

The same applies to our President’s, Dean’s, etc.

We wait too late to hire them. You have to look at some of the smaller schools. It takes work.

No reason McNair, Frazier are not coaching in the SWAC.

That's the issue - let's throw Cortez out there - sometimes timing doesn't work for the natural fits

He started coaching in 2012 and by tsu timeline that was when asberry started and no one was going to win under those circumstances -

When he went to vandy in 2015 and Haywood was hired in 2016 then your forced to gamble on him with little experience or go for someone else - once he went to Georgia after that he was off limits 🤣 -

I see also our own swac fans have bought into that hbcu retread nonsense and admins read that crap and they'll use that to justify their decision making - I hate that we down our own

All of a sudden McNair is a retread with multiple titles but we're our own worst enemy

Since 2009 - all swac champions have been hbcu grads except 2014, 15, 21, 22, 23

that covid season derailed what big mac had going at alcorn. He didn't have a lot of resources at alcorn. what would he do at aamu? sam shade was really obvious. What happened there?
 
I can't remember why didn't the Texas school hire McNair then? No one talks about what happened..... Why didn't Frazier apply for the SWAC jobs? Did he not want to come back? No one from the Sippi has said anything about McNair since he left? Why is that?

I know he applied for the Valley job when they choose Dancy so I'm guessing he is saying that if he couldn't get hired at Valley, he won't get hired anywhere anymore

That's a lot of love to give up $500k without much stress to take a job making $200-$250k while wearing multiple hats. That's why I look at people sideways who thought Mack was coming back to the SWAC

That is the one advantage of hiring a former NFL star. The financial part isn't high on the priority list as much as having your own D1 program
 
D. Jackson was not a good hire. DO they watch his podcast? gzzzzzzzzz.... Where's the character and morals to show the leader of college athletes and what high profile athlete's parents would send their kid to him to grow if he never displayed it throughout his career?:rolleyes:
