It's not, really it's not. As we all know it's hard for the old guard when change comes. You all know how them alums are that have been in the chapter for 40 years.

I have very high hopes and expectations for Dr. Lane. I believe he will be great for TSU.

Change cometh...

I'm just thankful that greatness acknowledges the peasants occasionally

Well I am a McClelland guy and don't give a shit who knows it. I remember what it was like before him and I can imagine what it would be like without him. Sometimes we don't miss our water until the well goes dry.

I support the school...no matter who is in the drivers seat...even if I can't stand their dirty drawers.

Dr. McClelland is a hard worker and a good guy overall. Talking about making bricks without straw, he has done that and more. Anybody who wants to argue that point is either a hypocrite or being disingenuous. When he came we were shoulders deep in doo-doo...now we are a stone's throw from being where we need to be.

That is all I have say on this subject in a public forum.
 
Some say it is what it is, if you have a difference of opinion then fugg you. Then ask why so many say fugg you when the crying about financial support.

This thread is a perfect example why so many alums graduate and never look back.

Folks will lol if you say something about their pastor, but you bet not say ish about their A.D. For some reason I find this strange.

Yes, he does love our campus but the students and alumni (mostly students) financed that stadium. They voted to have a fee added on to pay extra for athletics and athletic facilities. They challenged the Alumni to match their 4 year contribution and some of us (alumni) have done just that thru our foundation. So don't make it seem like the TAMu System gave us funds to do it.

They did not give you anything that was not deserved. The money for from the stadium came frrom Texas AM. The increase atudent guving as well as Alumni giving(projected) is a fraction of the total outlay. But if you believe what you say, so be it.

You can get somebody that’s actually winning for $220-250k and pay your assistants more. But i guess that’s too much like being right. Don’t let me start on that O Line last year they was awful and they hired ol boy from Jackson St. thought he was the savior.

Haywood had no where else to go. He was out of football for 5 years couldn't even get a job as a SP teams coach in FBS. Should have offered his arse 175K plus incentives 20K for every game over .500, 15K championship appearance 25k for a W.

It is not about supporting any one A.D. or Coach. It is abt supporting the student athletes & the programs. I am not asking anyone to do anything. My opinion is it you have to ask, then it is already a problem. One thing I have learn in over 40 years in the insurance business is when & who to ask. I give because I feel it is my duty. God has blessed me beyond my expectations and therefore I do what I do. Each and everytime I see a Kevin Granger, Kevin Adams, Oliver Celestine, Dwyla Fisher, Wanda Adams, Chris Leblanc it validates that what I have done and will do in the future is making a difference.

We simply have different mindsets & beliefs. That is the good thing abt America, we are free to live and do as we please.

Most people that do not give back would not give back no matter what the circumstance. It simply is just not in our nature.

So.... you're loyal to the university salaried POSITION and its REQUIREMENT for success and ACCOUNTABILITY/TRANSPARENCY rather than being loyal to any pluggable human-body who currently occupies the position, correct? :) I'm in agreeance w/ you and respect it wholly. Can't say we didn't warn ya lol. The two most consistent olines in the swac are SUs and Alcorns. PV has had a decent line as well. Can't believe tsu paid dude 75k lol

I wouldn't worry about Texas Southern. If McClelland is the man most purport him to be, it's just a matter of time before the ship gets right....One way or the other.
