Perhaps you meant "less" than five games. I think PV will win at least six. Texas Southern is a different story.Haywood is getting paid that much be he is a high profile Coach by FCS standards. I am not sure what many around here know about him, but he has proven that he can win on the FBS level. I think Pitt would have been a good team in two years under him if he wouldn’t have screwed up with that chick.
Texas Southern has a good coach, it’s just time for that good coach to win games. This season is going to answer if he can win in the SWAC. He had a good recruiting class and is bringing in a very good FBS caliber QB. If he doesn’t win some games this year, then it’s time for those guys to move on. I can’t see any good coach struggling to win more than 5 games in Texas on any level of collegiate football.

The hate is real. He only spent two years at Miami. I don’t think it’s fair to totally judge him by what he’s done at Texas Southern. The man was 10-15 as an FBS coach and even worse as an FCS coach. That fluke season at Miami incidentally was his ONLY winning season as a head coach. I've said it before and I'll say it again; his 2 year FBS career was fools gold. His limited body of work wasn't enough to make a real evaluation of his ability. I'm not gonna knock his hustle in using it to land the Pitt gig nor later on sticking TSU for the money.
Not sure you can call this hate. The statement he was responding to said he proved he could win at the FBS level. The hate is real. He only spent two years at Miami. I don’t think it’s fair to totally judge him by what he’s done at Texas Southern.

A couple of us TSU alums have been saying that for nearly a year now, but some...well, well you pretty much know. That first game against FAMU last season snatched blinders off some of us though.
Shiddd why not?The hate is real. He only spent two years at Miami. I don’t think it’s fair to totally judge him by what he’s done at Texas Southern.

It’s his fault that he is here unlike Fobbs who controlled his destiny to get here and now that he is here he is killing it. Fobbs will probably follow suit as the other swac championship winning head coach that just retired. Fobbs might get a Sunbelt job close by his recruiting stomping grounds like Louisiana, Texas etc.

He should have showed up with this mind frame.Haywood knows his name is on the line if he ever wants to land another FBS gig.
Shiddd why not?
He was hired to....
He has.....
Vast majority of jobs/careers you are only as good as your last review. I bet you can't go in your evaluation talking about remember 2009 I killed it in 2009.
What have you done for me lately?
I thought you were, so who ya wit?I'd be highly pissed if I were an sTu alum.
I thought you were, so who ya wit?
Just kidding B, just kidding, Lord knows I don't want the wrath of your alter ego.
He should have showed up with this mind frame.
You know who was a damn good HBCU hire?
Mike London at Howard.

Don't know which six, but Simmons did leave a little talent there before he left. What six will PV win? I’m just asking. In a perfect world they could win the West. They could very well finish third in the West again.
Some don't matriculate in the real-world bruh. Leave it be.
$300,000 should produce RESULTS, at least demonstrate GREAT improvement and competitivity, at the D-I FCS level, in the SWAC, which is arguably at its lowest points ever since it was created. Review sTu football's 2017 record. Pay no attention to who's leading the program right now and ask yourself, is this effort of schedule worth 300,000$? Are his coordinators worth that $95,000?
L - FAMU (MEAC lower-tier; rebuilding)
L - HBU (southland conf cellar dweller and still recently started playing football)
L - AAMU (rebuilding)
L - Alcorn St
L - Kennesaw St
L - Alabama St
L - Grambling St
W - MVSU smh
L - Southern U
W - UAPB smh (totally rebuilding)
L - PVAMU
Damned the scores on the losses. "Close" only counts during the games of horseshoes and hand-grenade toss. I'd be highly pissed if I were an sTu alum.
