I cant make something be there that aint there... i went to the MCC website and clicked on history... it only has the scores. I cant MAKE something be there that I cant find.

OK but actually it doesn't matter to me how many people are there, that's not my question.

I'm simply stating fact that I didn't know anything about the game until both schools were members of the SWAC and I'm trying to find out who all did know about the game that are Alums (non-bama ) of the SWAC.

I found out about it through my Niece... she danced for A&M....

I've been... the game was too suttle to have such a nice crowd. Should have been far more intense than it was regardless of how sorry a football team was. (too many gals playing dress up and too many fans sitting on their asses) Considering its two BAMA schools the crowd should be :argue: :argue: :argue: :saw: :saw: :kaioken: :kaioken: :kaioken:
Yet, the few who decide to stay after halftime are more like

if BAMA state was on it this year (football) it probably would be an intense game considering A&M is winning again. but guess we'll just have to wait and see the outcome

We will see you on Nov 4th, I bet AAMU will have Memorial so quiet you will be able to hear a rat pi**ing on drug store cotton.

Dat be AAMU's side wit da tight booties.  (gone and say sumthin smart Snake!! ~hugs~)

And yes, I'm guilty of wearing a fly outfit too (long as the shoes are comfortable) every year, but that's just a lil tradition I do for myself.

Like I've stated before.........The Magic City Classic is not JUST a game- it's an experience. :jump:

....yes we are classy.

Yall on the other hand, straight cussin and gangsta :uzi:

But a thread questioning MCC participation? WOW! is it that serious?

"Snake"

"Chew tobacco chew tobacco chew tobacco spit! If you ain't in da band........."

Just a scandalous. Got chirren and babies over there and errthang. :smh: :lmao: :lmao:

But yeah, I'ain know it was that deep either..........my thing is don't knock it til you try it. And I've actually known about the MCC since 1989 when I first saw it on BET........and from what I remember, it was packed then.

Maybe you should read slowly before making comments. The thread isn't questioning MCC participation (that's what the bama schools always bring up ), it's questioning SWAC Alums (non-bamas) knowledge of the game before 1999.

:what: you're actually traveling to JACKSON?

and they say A&M don't support their teams... ;)
Guess you're going to prove them wrong huh?

what's the big deal...if you didn't know about it.... well Now you do...give it rest lol!!! y'all kneegroes are something special

This is funny. Yeah, I voted.

SMH at people who claim not to know about THE SWAC's MOST WELL-ATTENDED CLASSIC ! ! !

So just because it's well attended means it's WELL KNOWN? The Bayou is known around the country by EVERYBODY not just BCF fans. Why do you think ESPN chose to do Gameday last year with Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreet. Your classic is like the Cotton Bowl Classic with Gram and PV....a bunch of locals attend because they've got nothing else going on to draw a black crowd.....and they pack the game.....I promise you thousands couldn't care less about the football game itself. And please don't try to tell me that it's all your FAN BASE at that game.

The truth of the matter is the MCC classic has been well attended for a long time. Both schools strongly support this game. It is a big, big game in the state of Alabama. IT is THE game of the season for AAMU, period.

However, what the BAMMA folks don't want to accept is that NO ONE ELSE gave a damn about the game but them. No one else cared if 100,000 came to the game. JSU-Southern, the Bayou Classic games have a national appeal. IF you go around the counrty and Southern Univ or Grambling people know that. If you say AAMU, they will say "Who?????"

it's like comparing Oregon - Oregon St rivaly with USC - UCLA or Ohio State-Michigam. It doesn't matter how many people show up at Oregon - Oregon St, very few outside of the state of Oregon will care.

Bama folks used to be happy being neigborhood superstars (the State of Alabamma) Now they want to be nation wide but they just ain't.

Take note of what she said. JSU/SU draws a big crows without having to have all the "experience".

To all you Bamanians.......your MCC is cared about only by BAMA and your locals.....that's what gives you a good attendance. After halftime, people LEAVE.

so what you are saying is more AAMU,ASU, BAMA folks care about the MCC... than your NATIONWIDE folks care about the JSU-SU game???

get da fucoutta here... AAMU-SU game had more folks than the SU-JSU game in Baton Rouge last year and before you say Katrina.. BOTH games were after Katrina. So its a big rivalry ONLY when its in Jackson? Plus they have TRIED to make a classic out of it... only 35000 people show up... so dont give me that IF it was a classic.

I dont think anybody saying it's a big deal that they didn't know except the bama schools. I'm simply trying to find out who did and who didn't.

Be patriotic and cast your vote please.

Lewie,

Seeing how the MCC always gets televised and the JSU/SU game never gets televised, you really should not have said anything about "national appeal".

You dumb kcuf, they did NOT try to make it into a classic. It was just moved to New Orleans. To make it a true classic, you would have to add all the sponsors, pageantry and side shows. it was just a football game in the dome.

Accept it.....nobody cares about you but you and the only reason you're getting on ESPNU is because of your Classic sponsorts and sideshows and "Classic" name. If it was just You vs. them.....ESPNU wouldn't give a siht about you. Believe that.

Bamas wanna be up there with the big 3 so bad that you'll try anything and any excuse but sorry.....nobody cares. Have fun being on ESPNU.....nobody will be watching because your 100k fans will be in the stands.

Again the MCC is a classic and well attended and that's clear as to why it's being televised, although I doubt that's it's been televise Nationally every year. Let's not stretch the truth.

FYI the regular season game between JSU/SU has been televised at least three times that I can remember, maybe more.

The MCC Classic has been on TV since I started attending them in 1989. How many times has the JSU/SU game been on tv since then?

JSU and SU came on BET plenty of times especially in the 80's BEFORE it was a classic. They would show the games when they came to JACKSON AND Baton Rouge. And they would sell it out at both stadiums. The only reason your game gets shown is because it's a classic. We get our games on t.v. just because.
