White athletes have nothing to lose by being vocal. They won’t be criticized for playing the race card or being divisive by the public. Them not speaking out, and the public not demanding or expecting that they do, is the epitome of white privilege.

Gregg Popovich, Steve Kerr and Stan Van Gundy repeatedly speak out against everything from racism to Trump and haven’t lost any privilege. In fact, they’ve been praised for their insights.
In the NBA, its white commissioner encourages all players to speak on social issues. But we can’t have that same expectation for players in America’s most popular sport?
Yes. They’re leaders. All the more reason they should.

Speaking out and actually doing something are two different things. Please understand this.
They'll let you speak out and say what's wrong and what's not right, but the minute they do something for black ppl, that's when they will lose out.
Tell me what Greg, Steve, Stan Van has DONE, tangible for Colin's cause or Eric Reid's cause? Other than say it's messed up. Hell a 4th grader knows that the situation is messed up and can put up a fist (Chris long), but what have they DONE to rectify their situation
Shid it's no different from them, yelling at a cop that's beating up a black kid, from the back of their car while passing by, Tell me how that's helping out? Now if they get out the car and go forward, lead, and make attempts to get the cop prison time, then that's doing something.
They spoke out or whatever, that's not doing nothing breh Lol. What are they doing to get Colin and Eric their jobs back. They know not to cross that line, the Doing part.

The point of mentioning Pop, Kerr and Van Gundy was to exhibit that whites in leadership positions within professional sports can candidly call out racism and inequitable practices in society and not lose the privilege they hold. It's the privilege that allows them to be comfortable in doing so in the first place.
And it's not up to those specific NBA coaches to help Reid or Kap. It's not their crusade. That's up to the members of the NFLPA. It's a labor issue. Being such, all members of that union should be supporting Kap and Reid getting an opportunity to play in the league. That's been my point the whole time.

This is what your logic is based on.
1. Cacs won't do anything but speak up as I stated in a previous post and you think that's somehow going to do anything so I don't know why you and other black ppl hold that as a W for the cause, I don't
2. Cacs won't do the DOING on correcting the injustice that is being done to black ppl

You’re conflating a labor issue respective to a private entity to a social issue respective to the public.
Pop and Kerr can talk about the injustices Kap and Reid face all they want. But as far as them actively trying to help get them jobs in the NFL they have no place in doing such. That’s for players union to fight for them. I don’t know how this is so hard to understand.
