Kobe Bryant Discusses Miami Heat’s Support For Trayvon Martin

A lot of black people in America took Kobe side in that rape case because he was black. I don't recall Kobe getting on TV or in a news article saying "Black people, don't take my side". Did you folks see that? If so please correct me. Thanks!!

He basically implied that Kobe was out of touch with social issues(affecting the African American community) in America because Bryant grew up overseas

I grew up overseas, I am not out of touch, just have a wider view than most. A lot of black people are more prejudice than white people and always have an excuse for it.

Apparently, Kobe posted this after the Zimmerman verdict

This isn't bout M.J.

K you know I could care less I'm just poking fun at those that are always clowning him about emulating MJ where in fact if he is/was so out of touch with the black community it would fall right inline with their assertion that he's emulating MJ.

That's because 70% of black people have been racial profiled, denied jobs by white because of being black, denied loans by white people and the list goes on. I guess you over look that huh?

I had to come back and read this again. Did this dude really let this come out of his mouth? Wow!! Really? White people got a whole network station created for hating black people, and its called FOX news. You probably watch it with joy dude.

Black folks sure have a damn good reason (not excuse) to be that way, especially in the U.S..

I guess that equates to his wilder view than most. I've overseas multiple times and overall had a great experience each time. I was in Amsterdam two years ago and a young woman from Bulgaria called me a nigxx because I refused to hang out with her. She was absolutely gorgeous but I don't get down the way she offered.

I feel sorry for people like Kobe, MJ, Lewis and others...a very sad display. I agree tat many of us have brought some things on ourselves but we are dealt most of the time from a stacked deck. MJ had the opportunity to make a difference to change some things since he was the image of the league but being the selfish joker he is, focused solely on himself. Remember when his dad was murdered and his body remained in the police freezer for days before they cremated him. MJ sad they should have known he was not an average Joe because of the expensive dental work in his mouth. Poor MJ, couldn't phantom the fact that all they could see was another dead black man.

Here's the answer to all of the problem we face in this world: 2 Chronicles 7:14; "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

When one race seems to have the power and the means to exercise and enforce their prejudice over others due to the color of their skin, that ain't right.

When one race seems to have the benefits of privilege that elude others due to the color of their skin, that ain't right.

You may have the money. But in this day and age, you can't let that money fool you into thinking that you a privilege over others like you...because in the eyes of others, you are no better than the people you feel you are better than. Reality has a way of putting people back in their place when they get too far beside themselves. Too bad for celebrities. Their downfalls are usually displayed publicly. And when you show your distance and apathy for your people when you "come up", don't expect your people to embrace you when you "come down".
