If the same statement had been written about A&M or Prairie View or even Bama State, I don't think any JSU or SU people would have been in here pretending to take the "high road" on this issue. Yall woulda been laughing out loud, and taking it for what it is - a good natured jab on a program that's made a few slip-ups over the past few years.

this is not about us being able to "have a laugh on swacpage". clearly that's what the SMACK BOARD is for. We are talking a feature on the front page of the website... a site that wants to be considered a source of viable information and it refers to a school as OKRA.... come on.

Anyway...with regards to the "Okra" comment, be prepared to see more of it.

The format of the front page has changed. Yes, it will always provide information of official press releases, but we will also interject original content when possible.

So are u chalkin up refering to one of our opponents as OKRA to "original content". That's garbage. Dude, if you don't see anything wrong with that story u and this site are a joke. period. I'm done with it.
 
I thought it was funny myself. All it needed was a picture of TP standing beside some Okra and it would have really been funny. :lol:

I never put any limitations on what should or should not be considered as a feature. Hell, the J-State...errr....excuse me the Jackson State University and Texas Southern University football game was the topic of moment given the they were the only team that played last night.

However, given NT's remarks. "Mission Accomplished"! :tup:

Aren't they actually referred to as the Fighting Okra?

if so, how is that any diffferent from if he had said yall had lost to the Tigers (referring to TnState) and the Okra?

let's be real, the Okra name (whether its official or unofficial) is very uncommon and is downright comical.

NO. Their mascot is STATESMEN. I'm just glad I got it from the horses mouth, that this isn't supposed to be a viable media outlet. That helps me. lol

When they played PV, the feature story was something along the lines of "A&T's kicking game self-destructs in 22-7 loss to Prairie View " captioned w/ a cartoon pic of Charlie Brown hitting his bottom while attempting to kick the football and Lucy pulling the ball away as she traditionally does. I thought it was clever and captive. :tup:

Maybe Kennfolx was attempting the same. I don't think he'd slight JState w/ anything demeaning. :tdown:

Ok he answered your concern and it did not go your way so if you don't like it then leave the baord... No sense in bashing the man on his site about what he does..... I've learned that Kenn is going to do whatever he want to do..

Example : GUD did not like something that was done by Kenn ummm about 3 weeks ago. Kenn heard my complaint and he did what Kenn wanted to do am I still mad YES but there is nothing I can do about it...:read::read:
