What's crazy is that I know some kids who were apart of high school programs where they were discplined by having to do pushups or running laps but yet when they get to college they call their parents...

Never thawt Id see the day when "DRUMLINE" would look harder than actual band life

:retard:

You right about times changing and people got to change with them wether they like it or not.
Today someone yelling at you can get you in trouble in all walks of life with this "They mean to me".

All it takes is one phone call to get a hornet's nest stirred up over nothing.
Ain't just bands either.
it's the same for Frat's and Soror's also.
Look at how they kicked the ZETAS off the yard at Colorado for tricking them into eating CAT FOOD.

Do you remember that EGG PASS.............

Yea, I've been reading and seeing a lot of articles about greek hazing lately.... its getting sad. :shame:
These kids come to college with a different mentality and attitude and its because of what their parents tell them before they drop them off on campus their freshman year.

"If anybody Tot'you or yell at you, jus call me and I'll be on my way ova to that shool house. Ya hear?"

Back in the day parents would fuss at the child for Complaining about it.
Let me complain to my mom about being hazed. She would say:

"I dont wanna hear son, You knew what you was getting into before you took yo azz down there, now deal with it. Dont come crying to me."

and it would be up to me if I wanted to stay and get hazed or just throw in the towel and go on about my business. Non of that reporting it to the administration stuff.

I wish I wouldda tried to call and complain to my Ma about crabbin. She wouldda hung the phone up on me. She knew what I was doing, I told her everything, but she was like, well, dont' call me crying, you handle that craziness yourself. Hell one of my crabsis' who was from Huntsville mom would go buy stuff we had to get the upperclassmens for us. Boy was she a lifesaver. Our parents knew(hell the one's from huntsville had to know cause they were still living in their parents home), but they let us be adults and make our own decisions.

Why? Red Dawg got a legal fund set up?!

:lol::lol:

:dead: :lmao:

My parent's, ESPECIALLY MY MOM, went to the grave not knowing a damm thing that went on with me at JSU.
The band, The campus, The Frat, the CITY........NOTHING.
If i would have called home about some mofo making me do push up's, they would have hung up on me. :lmao:

My brothers knew but they was like YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WAS GETTING INTO.
My oldest brother dropped me off at JSU Bandhall with a big arse sneeky grin on his face.

As a freshmen football player, we had to carry equipment for old heads, pack their bags. ride on long bus trips with our helmets on and do the upperclassmen laundry :vomit::vomit:.

Then I went on to pledge Omega... My parents werent hearing that crying mess...

Serious question:

Did you do Bell's laundry?

There is no need for all this ruckus!

If a crab or his/her parents have something against physical training, then that crab doesn't need to be in the band. Maybe they can be a part of the equipment committee or something. Hell...bands should put ALL their crabs on the equipment committee.

Cause when that crab gets injured during a performance, whose gonna be the first to batch about it and try and press charges? That's right...the pacifier parents, who make their kids too soft to endure ANYTHING in life. Then the band, and the university become liable.

Crabs these days are nothing more than a liability. So, treat them as if they don't belong in the band. As a matter of fact, band camp should be like a pre-interview. Make your intial cuts, then consider the rest of their crab year as a regular interview. Then...once they complete their crab year, initiate them into the band during their neo year!!!!

Crabs are nothing to the band but a liablilty! So why do/did we (as oldheads), give the so much freaking attention?!

Get with the program people!
