Comparing McNair to other black quarterbacks


If McNair played for anyone not Jeff Fisher he has better NFL numbers....McNair beat a Troy State team that used to dominate FCS so he was on point

Look at Tavaris...he was a difference maker but wasn't McNair.....Bruce was more of a product of being the league for some time but what hurt him is he didn't shine against the teams like Washington State and San Jose State....McNair would have
 
It Figured that Some wasn't around during that time.. Y'all have to Understand that it was VERY Uncommon for a Black QB to be starting in 1A football, Until McNair. Especially one that wasn't a pocket Passer.

Its Laughable to compare Vince Young to McNair Considering Vince had a Relationship with McNair from a Very Very Very Young age. Those Players would have been good in the SWAC and if it wasn't for McNair they would have played in the SWAC or MEAC especially Vince... If A McNair or a Kendrick Nord Came out of High school today they would sign with the TOP 5 Schools... Bruce is no Comparison..

To Be Honest The SWAC hasn't been good since the start of the Championship game. Grambling, Jackson State, Alcorn, was Averaging 3 players drafted a year during the Early 90s.

I don't know how John Thierry got away from Southern considering that pipeline that S.U. established from J.S. Clark Opelousas & Opelousas Sr. High back in the day. Alcorn was certainly fortunate to get him and I'm sure S.U. overlooked that one....lol

Rules changed with props and more schools going fbs began to take good swac kids and making them average to low average sun belt kids on bad teams

You can recruit a kid all year and then the New Mexico State or Louisiana Monroes of the world will pitch them that Division I dream even though there is nothing much of a difference between a good swac team and a bad Sunbelt, cusa team

Yeah, they're talking about a different era....lol No Michael Strahans, Aeneas Williams, Jerry Rice, or first round draft choices like Sly Morris, Rashad Andrerson, Alcorn's John Thierry & Air McNairs played in the SWAC then...lol (certainly they've bumped their heads).

Bro when I was on Twitter Sanchez was better than Romo you nitpicking now lol. Sanchez had been to two AFC championships compared to 1 playoff victory for Romo stop it

Sanchez has never been better than Romo. They had monster defenses in NY those seasons.

Overall Romo is better now but being a better a passer doesnt = Better QB. It's more to it than being able to throw. At the time Sanchez helped get his team to 2 AFC championships. That holds weight to me. Romo hasn't led his team that far and he's surrounded by talent every year. That was my initial point. This was like 5-6 years ago sheesh lol

I remember in 94(soul bowl) when McNair was up for heisman. He scrambled towards the goal line and got rocked by 2 guys from JSU. I think Alcorn went to the playoffs that year and McNair was injured. Of course highlights are going to show him eluding people but he got caught a lot of times. I was 2 rows behind Charles S Dutton milk dud head lol. Memorial stadium was packed and hyped we sat on the visitors side if I'm not mistaken. Great times!

I remember that game. I was one row in front of Dutton. I remember saying to the crew, "hey that's Roc sitting over there." Then we spotted Samuel L. Jackson on the sidelines with the J-Settes trying to get Dutton's attention. Dutton hit the sidelines with the quickness. They were filming A Time To Kill.
