Georgia lost by 23 earlier this season and got in after winning the conference championship. Yikes.

That's because Georgia got to play Auburn again.
Alabama got in after losing the last game it played by double digits. But we're holding a loss against a team that happen four weeks ago.
If Georgia was allowed to redeem itself, then Ohio State should, too. They beat an undefeated top 4 P5 team to win its conference championship.

Alabama beat no one and if fact was rewarded for not making the sec championship game....They essentially received a bye week. They got a bye week. Unbelievable.
Who's to say they wouldn't have lost had they played this week? You should get rewarded for that.

Why not? Would you bet your paycheck that Bama couldn't beat Ohio State or USC?
No team that loses by four TD's to an unranked team should be considered and then by two TD's at home on top of that.

Those aren't comparable losses. Iowa finished with a losing Big 10 record in the weaker East division. There's also that second loss, which also wasn't close.
The committee did the same exact thing last season. Truth be told, neither team had great resumes when you look into it. Ohio State's beat wins are Wisconsin and Penn State, which have zero wins of note.

Alabama controlled what they could control. It wasn't their fault that LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Miss. State were under achievers. They had no serious "bad" losses.
The committee got it right no matter how much folks want to complain on behalf of Ohio State.

No where near a close comparison.
Ohio State 31-pt. loss to unranked 7-5 Iowa
Georgia 23-pt. loss to Top 10 ranked 10-3 Auburn that also beat Alabama and was ranked No.2 when Georgia got its revenge.

And truth be told, if Miss. State didn't lose it's QB in the Egg Bowl, they more than likely win the game and finish 9-3 instead of 8-4.

To me alabama had their chance....beat auburn. That was a playoff game...and they lost. They didn't even get to the second round...win the sec championship.

But if Alabama played Auburn 2 or 3 weeks ago, this argument would be null.
So Georgia's loss (though it got run off the field) was a little better. Got it. They were allowed to recover from it.
I mean, OU loss to an unranked team at the crib. A game it was favored by 30 points. Was able to redeem itself at the end. In the playoff.

OU also beat Ohio State in their place.Ohio State had two big losses during the season. If they were more competitive against OU and Iowa, then maybe they would have slid in. I knew what was up when Bama was ranked No.5 after losing. Just natural that they would move up to No.4 after Wisconsin lost. Also the I believe folks don't trust the hype of the Big 10 either. They have several teams with excellent records, but what's the best OOC win for the entire conference?

Well, Ohio State blew it's two chances verses Oklahoma (at home) and Iowa (by four TD's).
The committee chose the team that blew it only once (to the number one team on the road).
People were saying if Alabama played Georgia in the SECCG and lost close game, the committee should put them in. But they didn't even get there. They got smoked in the last game of the season. What did Bama do in a week to improve its position coming off a loss?

But OU beat Ohio State on the road and TCU twice. Every team in the playoffs has one thing in common. ONE loss.
Bama didn't have another game to play. They were eliminated from its division and conference title game.

No. Alabama blew its chance to make it to the SEC championship game. They controlled that and they couldn't complete mission #1, win the sec. They aren't the best team in the sec, they are the third best team in the sec. I'm talking about this without looking at Ohio State at all. Can you?

They were already ahead in the rankings by four spots over Ohio State. They didn't have to do anything, Ohio State had to and they didn't.
Had they blew out Wisconsin convincingly, perhaps that would've helped but they didn't.
I'm tired of seeing Big Ten teams stink up the joint in big games.
Except that ALL those teams didn't lose the last game it played like Bama did.
