You mean like when they played against Auburn in the Sugar Bowl last year and OU put up 524 yards?

Not "we" as in me and you or this forum. Sorry I shoulda worded that differently. There were several people that picked OU because of their offense is what i meant. People picked both of course. I'm just saying what I heard locally here in Big 12 country and some nationally.

Yeah Kendrick, the same 7-5 Auburn team that was not even good. You say you cover football, if you do and pay attention, you wouldn't even use that comparison from that game. That was a lopsided matchup. I know you're an SEC hater so it's hard for you to come down in the middle and truly analyze. My wife is an OU alum and she said "what do you think"..... my response......."you should kill Auburn".........why, because I don't use bias. I knew Auburn didn't stand a chance because of how they played all season long. You had the #1 Big 12 team going up against a 7-5 Auburn team. Who was surprised? I wasn't?
LOL yeah Kendrick Auburn's defense who was ranked 5th in the SEC and outside the top 40 nationally and #71 after they played OU...........nice try buddy. They were not good, not even close to OU last year.
That same Auburn that gave up:
45 to LSU
lost 17-9 to unranked Miss State
gave 54 to unranked Arkansas in a loss
27 to Ole Miss in a loss -
lost 20 - 13 to unranked Georgia in a loss
29 to Bama in a loss- not surprised
Who's surprised that they got whooped by OU. Bad defense and bad offense. Much better team this year though.
I'll say it again.......I didn't say Georgia would win. I said it's a toss up and will be way closer than people think because of certain factors. All I'm saying is, if I had to make a choice, I'll lean towards the better defense.
Who has the better defense, Kendrick?

And Auburn's defense in 2016 was ranked No. 7 in scoring defense in the FBS, only allowing 17 points a game going into the Sugar Bowl. The most points that defense gave up last season before the OU game was 30 to Bama. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/auburn/2016-schedule.html

OU shredded an elite SEC defense last year.
I don't think that OU is going to win the national title this year because it just doesn't have the defense. But, I'm not putting it past OU's offense to do to Georgia what it has done to everyone else, either.

Auburn was NOT an elite defense Kendrick - LOL geez. Use your eyes dude. That defense was not a top defense. Did you not see the results I posted up top??? ELITE defenses allow that? Really? wow.
I'm not biased, I went by what I watched ON TV last season. Which is why when my wife asked who would win, I said OU would kill them, now you tell me how that's biased???
I'm sorry, I pulled wrong year for defense. You're right, they were #7 and finished 28.
Again, you have to be honest, do you REALLY think Auburn was an elite defense given their results last year. No way. Using the word elite I think helps you try to prove a point. Elite is Bama, Clemson.....etc. Auburn was not in that class and everyone knows that.
I'm putting it past OU to do that. Reasons why, again OU's defense.......simple football..............if you can't stop the run, you can't control the clock and you can't get the ball as much as you're used to. lAt least on paper that's what I see. Again, they may win but I can't see them putting up much offense like they're used to.
