Can men & women be true friends?

i only have 2 friends that are female...my older sis and younger sis.

any other female is just someone I say Hi or Bye too cuz im somewhat polite...or we had somethin goin sexually and we still talk about it and how we wanna do it again:)

If they are BEST FRIENDS.....He is gay..or they are married..or will be married. Other than that...they just have to be regular friends. But not the kind you tell everything to and go to the movies with and all that jazz...If yall doing that...yall both leaving the door open to HIT IT.
 
Why? What purpose does it truly serves. All the woman wants is for the guy to listen to her run her mouth because her girlfriends aren't available. I am cool with some women, thats just because of class, work, or organizations. But I'm not trying to hang out with them unless I am EXTREMELY bored. And I mean EXTREMELY!!!!!!!!!!

I think it is very possible. I have several close male friends that have never indicated to me in any way that they wanted anything from me other than the close platonical friendship we have. I know I don't want them. They are my "homeboys" and we have spent countless hours and days together and nothing has happened. We hang out, watch and go to sporting events, travel together, yadah yadah. They know my family and I know their families. I can count on them and they can count on me.
 
There is no bitterness involved, I'm just being honest. Ain't nothing worst than seeing an unmarried "angry" black woman. Before you start, I a'int angry.
 
I have 2 really good girlfriends that are just that. GIRLFRIENDS! I've been knowing them just about my whole life, and never have we thought about having sex with the other. At least if they thought it, they never told me, nor has one of our mutaul friends hinted around to it.

As someone said earlier, it depends on your maturity level, and if you can handle a close friendship with someone of the opposite sex. I CAN. Not only do I have those close friends, but I have other female friends that are just that, and I don't see them as anything other than friends.

If I was attracted (sexually) to a woman, I wouldn't have her as a close friend, because the closer we became the thought of knocking her down would be to heavy. However with that said, I'm man enough to tell them up front what my intentions are, so there wouldn't be any hidden attraction going on.

To me if I have a good female friend, I'd rather keep her just as a friend, instead of running the risk of ruining it with sex. I've seen friends have sex, and bounce back from it, it it "just happened", but the majority of cases I've seen, sex ruined their friendship, and they regretted it.

CEE Dog, I was listening to the show, and I see that he's finally on in Atlanta, but the big question was, could you have an EX as a close friend. Now that's the one.

Yes, but I will admit. Every one of my female "friends" started off as someone I wanted to knock the boots with. There was some form of attraction on both sides in the beginning.
 
I don't do the play sister thing. I don't have any real sisters, what I need a play sister for? There are females I can be friends with. There has to be an understanding from the door that the relationship is strictly friends, not friendly... Friendly leads to...

I'm close friends with my EX. I think we can be friends now because we started off as friends. I will admit sometimes it can be hard, but for the most part he knows me better than anyone and I know him better than anyone. We're completely honest with each other. We just realized we were better friends than anything else.
 



Only if the Man is Gay. A straight man no matter what would always hit if the woman offered no matter how good of friends they are. If the Woman is Gay the man still will try to hit if she offered.

Ok. I have not denied that both males and females have sexual feelings. Please believe I would never make that statement. :ebrow: But for guys who I claim as friends I am not the least bit sexually attracted to. Im saying from experience I have seen some guys claim that a women is just there friend a "sista" even but would hit it the first chance they got and that woman didnt have a sexual feeling at all towards them.

In my opinion, I just cant trust that im getting an unbiased opinion from a guy who is interested in me. Especially with relationship issues. And if i cant trust you then you surely can not be a true friend.

Nah... a lot of guys will give that good advice if they are a friend, but still "wonder" about what "it" would be like. I have had friends who I've told them they were dead wrong in a relationship and needed to take care of their man better...but I still was not against dating them myself.
