Yes, but not my point. My point is sometimes "True" friends have sex based upon feeling sorry for the other friend and give them a shot.

Point number two. You do not have to be attracted to a person to have sex with them.

Another point, Just because I find you attactive doesn't mean I am not your true friend.

Oh, and Just because I want to hit doesn't me I am willing to throw away my friendship with you.

Good points doc.

I'mma hafta' redefine my friendships of the opposite sex w/ your criteria. :D

It can happen, as long as you think with your head and not your crotch. Its human nature to find others of the opposite sex attractive, but you have to be an adult and know where you can and can't go. Like it has been said in this thread before, just as long as you don't act.

Plus you also have to remember that sex complicates things. If someone is a good friend and you cross that line and it doesn't work out, you may have lost a great friend.

Are you saying "After the sex we can no longer be great friends"? I disagree.

I am mad at you for changing your siggy.. I dont know what I am looking at now...

Oh, as far as this thread. I am just trying to be honest. People need to be grown and realize that "True" Friends dont come around too often.

What I am saying that sex between two good friends can unlock some serious emotions making it awkard for those involved if it just a hook up thing and not going any where more serious than that.

Tell'em Panth. And there's no need in sitting on it waiting on a rainy day to give it away (posted by Seeing Spots 2005).

I'm kinda late on the topic but I want to bring up a situation I was in. I to thought you could have a female as a best friend. Well I realize that is not possible. First of all if you are single with a female best friend it is totally different than in a relationship with a female friend.
When single she will want you there anytime she needs someone to talk to. At that point you are able because you are not working with any committments. It all changes when you are in a relationship. Now your GF or Wifey is expecting and deserves your time, no longer are you able to play Dr. Phil anymore for that friend. On the guys side he will still consider her as a friend but she will be upset and consider you as an associate. In turns this will cause confusion because it will seems as if you all were more than friends for a GF coming in not knowing anything. This is even if she doesn't look at you other than a friend. She has now lost that friend that she had.

For all the single guys that are out there, if you have a close female friend let it be know how things will be later on in your life or don't allow for such a close attachment. It will come back to bite you in the a**.

I had a guy as a best friend up until a couple of yrs ago. Whenever he got involved with someone he would let them know that I was his friend and what to expect from our relationship. I was always prepared to move to the side, but he never treated me that way. UNTIL we got to college. He met this chick who could not stand that we were close. At that point we were living in different cities but we still talked on the phone a lot and emailed. When I realized how much she didn't like me I backed off. We would call each other once every few months and she would always make her presence known. It would be quite until she realized I was on the phone and then she would start asking a million questions. In the end I guess she got what she wanted because he suddenly severed all ties and I heard that they got married about a yr ago.

In that situation, you have got to make it known to both where they stand with you.

Like you I had a similar situation, but I let it be known to the friend that although I may have to ease up on the availability for her, I was still her boy. As for the GF, I made sure that she met my friend quickly and let it be known that we have been friends for a while and will continue to be friends. But to make it work you really need for the friend to respect that there is a woman in your life and that she has to put herself in those shoes. If she a friend she will not hold it against you and give you space.

Yeah my feelings were a hurt at 1st. I used to say that we were prime example of how men and women could be JUST FRIENDS. I got over it, as long as he's happy I'm cool.
